Final Reflection
I started the semester in this class not really sure how social media marketing would impact me since I do not have my own business. I have been somewhat curious though as to how businesses use social media for marketing purposes because I am interested in learning more about website development, maybe for potentially doing it as a side job in the future. Given the fact that social media has the reach that it does, it is important to know how marketing works on these platforms. I feel that I have learned so much about social media in general, not just the marketing aspect of it. More than this though, I have learned to look at the customer in a completely different way thanks to reading “Building A Story Brand”. The book really opened my eyes to how it is the brand’s job to be the guide that the customer needs and through the brand’s products or services offered, help the customer transform their identity to who they really want to be and to make their lives better. Also, to present a clear path for the customer to get them where they want to be and ultimately where the brand wants them to be as well. I have learned much more than I had anticipated this semester and I know it will prove to be a valuable resource for me going forward.Â
