“Ah, thank you.” Takamoto took the flower from his hair to inspect. As always, Shaymin had great taste in greenery, but there was the minor…inconvenience that was entirely too distracting to truly appreciate it.

He couldn’t take this any more!

“Shaymin-sama? Can you do me a very important favor?” He nuzzled his head against the Pokemon’s bushy back, voice dropping into a very low but hurried whisper, “I need to do something very quick, but I can’t leave these two in the gardens by themselves. You know how the weedle and the bug types get, seeing little defenseless grass types and all. Could you be their protector in my absence? I’ll sneak you a treat from the kitchen on my way back as thanks.”

ahhhh she nestled against his hand, wanting to be pet. Shaymin adored Takamoto, if anything he should always be adorned in flowers it was only proper after all. though there was something wrong; he seemed agitated, was he hurt perhaps? was the chikorita too heavy? she knew that Prince Takamoto was weaker strength-wise than Prince Motoharu and perhaps the Lady Hiroko but surely ... 

Humph. Turns upwards to gaze at him quizzically as she heard his whisper. < Of course, my prince! > Though Shaymin didn’t have have a lot of powers, she was good at defending her family. The Shaymin were protectors after all, protectors of the forests and trees and should her prince decide to leave anyone within her charge Shaymin will carry out his duties with grace and beauty!
