How after their first time together he is teasing and loving, adoring Day like he is a ray of sunshine gracing his face every morning that wakes him up, and the sweet and gentle ray of moonlight that lulls him to sleep at night. Day became his everything in such a short time and he can't even imagine a life without him. Mhok would do and will do anything to be by his side.

He acts like Day is the most precious thing that has entered into his chaotic life and made it calm. And he is trying so hard to be the same for Day.

To be that simple moment of calm and normality, Day so much craves. And Mhok will keep on doing so no matter what, even if it will kill him inside, slowly and painfully.

Because watching the love of your life losing something so important like his eyes and still wanting you as his last visual memory, can either bring a man to his knees with pain or drive him insane with love. And Mhok is, unfortunately, experiencing both at the same time, while Day has already accepted his faith but is so glad he isn't alone when it happened.

Life threw them together and said "be each other's comfort zone and peace of mind" while throwing fireballs of despair toward them the whole time.

The line "Mee invited her shadow to dance with her under the final glow of sunlight of the day." Is such a powerful message for this scene. Because Day walks towards Mhok like he is inviting him to dance, silently saying you're not my shadow (my caretaker) anymore but more.

"they joyfully dance together" is Day accepting Mhok's proposal, stepping outside the shadows and finally in the sunlight.

As in finally going from being a pessimistic kid, thinking everything out there is trying to make his life more miserable to actually letting himself be happy and with someone who sees him for who he is and loves him nonetheless.

He's finally getting out of the bubble to go live is life even with something missing (his vision)

Except for the end of the episode. Let's not talk about that shell we? 👀👀👀

For Mhok this is so much worse than the time he lost Day
