Legitimate question, why is it that management will reward the lazy employees while ignoring the good ones? What is there to gain? If I start being lazy I get yelled at but when I actually do my job I get ignored. I'm about to quit and find a different job to start being lazy at if that's how people get promoted in this town.

In my experience, the more you do the more managment expects you to do. Its like if you bust your ass all the time, the bar keeps getting set higher and higher and then the minute you cant keep up, you get the "i need you to step it up a little" talk.
