1 — Before the war (Life we had) My name is Ubaida Aldahdouh. I am 17 years old from Gaza City. We were once a normal family my mother Noura, my father Osama, my sisters Farah and Aya, and my little brother Hamoud. We had a home. We had safety. We had dreams.

2 — The destruction Our house was completely destroyed in the war. My father’s training center, “House Development Center,” was also destroyed. We are now displaced with no home, no safety, and no tomorrow.

3 — The losses My uncle Naseef and his five children were killed. Around 250 of our relatives have been killed, 700 injured, and 17 are imprisoned. These are not numbers. These are people we love.

4 — Life right now

We live day by day in unsafe conditions. Even basic shelter is beyond what we can afford.

I suffer from chronic asthma and need urgent medical care. My family is exhausted physically and emotionally.

5 — Still holding on

My sisters still dream of becoming a doctor and a nurse. My mother is a nurse who once dreamed of continuing her education. I am a singer who once won Best Vocalist in Al-Zaytoun.

Now my voice is only used to ask for survival.

We are not asking for comfort. We are asking for life.
