The concept of Anakin helping out in the crèche and at first he's like oh god oh fuck i'm gonna do terrible. But it turns out the really young kids can't shield yet so they project all their needs into the Force and most of them are kinda blunt and funny and he's actually pretty okay at this, who would've thought? Meanwhile Obi-Wan is watching his Padawan hold a toddler on his hip and getting the most insane case of babyfever ever witnessed.

The shippiest thing I have ever seen on Wookieepedia is in the entry for the Open Circle Fleet, about the open circle symbol:
The heraldic emblem consisted of a yellow circle that was formed by two separate semi-circle arcs. One arc represented Kenobi, the other, Skywalker. The image signified that while they were both two independent halves, together they formed a single entity.

The Secret Garden + Maurice AU Obikin
@kana7o never ceases to amaze me. Seriously. I give her my ideas and requests, and she delivers them perfectly. This art combined multiple ideas I've had for a while --
The Not-So-Secret Garden AU -- Obi-Wan comes to live with his grandfather, Lord Dooku, after his father, Qui-Gon, passes away, and he meets the head cook's son, Anakin, and their friendship blooms in Qui-Gon's garden. This fulfils The Secret Garden (the 1993 film is the inspiration, btw, one of my all-time favourite film!) and Obikin as children/same-age ideas!
Maurice AU -- This film and book gave us Maurice and Scudder, and the adult Obikin in this art was heavily influenced by them. I've also been wanting an Edwardian Obikin, so this all turned out fabulously! I almost wanted to add a third element (the WWI element where Obi-Wan is an officer and Anakin is his batman), but I wanted to keep this piece happy and romantic, so that idea may be something in the future.
But that bit aside, this art really killed several ideas with one stone, so I am very pleased! Kana also gave me a variation, one that gives it an old-timey feeling, and it's so gorgeous!
And finally, here are the boys all zoomed in! Obi-Wan again has a pocketwatch! And Anakin wears that hat super well! Hope you all enjoy this piece!
P.S. -- I may make them into cards and send them out to several fans in the future. We shall see!
