Harvey: And I wheezed so loud that Maru throught I got hurt.

day 5 of looking out for myself | Haley, Emily, and Abigail in my world where as a 2nd gen south-east asian immigrant, i've never seen people who look like me or like anything outside of the sharp/tiny nosed, fair-skinned, straight hair get hype. also entirely self-indulgent art is where im headed towards, not just what i think people will like. just drawing what i like.

people seemed to like the last set I wrote so here's some more!

I think of Harvey as being a pretty quirky guy, especially once you get to know him. In my mind, I think he’s eerily similar to Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks (shared coffee addiction too, c’mon).

Harvey has a genuine interest in vintage fashion. Not the juicy couture sweatsuits and low-rise jeans “vintage” that the kiddos are talking about on TikTok (though that would actually be kinda funny), I’m talking how men dressed in the 1920s-1950s type vintage. I think he gets it from his fascination for history, though he’s a little too scared to actually dress that way.

He takes grooming very seriously- he likely has more shower products than his partner! He always keeps his hair and mustache trimmed neatly and takes pride in being a skincare addict. Seriously, you’ll catch this man reapplying his sunscreen every few hours (and he’ll encourage his partner to as well).

Harvey usually drinks his coffee black but has a sweet spot for the seasonal flavors that come out around fall/winter time. He loves pumpkin spice lattes, as long as they’re from a smaller cafe that uses high quality beans!

If you give him bread and butter pickles he won’t trust you. He thinks they’re a disgrace.

Harvey listens to lo-fi beats playlists on YouTube sometimes while he works. Maru introduced him to them and they both agree that they make pleasant background noise.

Speaking of noise, he cannot for the life of him sleep with a TV on. He’s a very light sleeper and the commercials tend to jolt him out of his slumber.

Harvey’s not usually a beer drinker, but he does enjoy a good stout every now and then (for anyone that’s never had one or isn’t old enough to have one 👀 they kind of taste like coffee)!

He owns a million books that he’s never read but is constantly buying more. New books are his weakness- it’s the one impulse that he can’t say no to (try to keep him from going to his favorite bookstores, I dare you).

I don’t think Harvey is a fan of playing video games, but sooner or later he figures out about Microsoft flight simulator and becomes completely obsessed with it!
