But once they spotted the Archer off in the back, at such an hour she offered a small smile as she nudged herself closer to the archer, leaning over to look at what he was tinkering with. Before her voice barely over a whisper she spoke. “Archer, it’s late. What are you doing~?”

The saber opened his mouth to say something but he only blinked when he was addressed as a Sir.“…” I’m only 20.

He slightly shook his head to forget what the knight had said in favor of listening to her tale. It was easy to understand her point of view. Being worried or even afraid of someone’s reaction when they meet again was something he experienced whenever he crossed paths with another Cu Chulainn. He understood her and yet…

Because of it, he couldn’t disagree more. “Excuse me if I sound harsh but I’m getting the impression that the one who’s talking to me is a kid too afraid to live than a knight who stood next to the King of Knights. If you do nothing, you get nothing. But, if you act, whether the outcome is good or bad, you can at least say that you tried. And, more importantly, wouldn’t you like to prove her wrong?”

The knight stopped in her tracks, at the Saber’s speech, on how he was right. She didn’t seem like what the story’s had told her up to be. The legend she had made for herself. Bangs were moved out of her eyes as she glanced into her fellow Sabers eyes. A slow breath escaping them. The words spoken by her senior had hit their mark, the knight was going to swallow their fear and speak to Emer themselves and hopefully be shown some mercy by them.

“I see, Sir... I suppose you are correct. If I don’t do anything nothing will be done. I-I thank you, I should go and speak to her myself now.”

The thought of bringing her back was alien to the doll . . Wouldn’t that . . Defeat the purpose of her existence? She supposed it was a possibility, however. The grail was said to be able to grant any wish. Bringing back the dead should be child’s play for it.

’ . . I suppose. But I’d rather you not waste something so precious upon me. I want for you to have your wish, and use it for something that truly matters . . Saber, I am just a puppet. A doll created for the sole purpose of becoming the grail . . For you to waste such an opportunity upon me, while flattering, would be . . A mistake. ‘

The knight’s wish was nothing special, it was just a chance to live a new life. But she had her chance to live and she made her decisions. Giving her master new life should also result in her own renewed life.

“Lady Alysviel, my wish has already been granted. You allowing me to serve you is already enough.” The blonde paused, offering what she could call a smile as she took their hand in hers. “It will be a mistake that I will make without regret, master.”

This was what most would consider to be . . A difficult topic, no? Marriage . . And it’s pre-requisites. Affection, courting, even falling in love . . These were things never spoken of betwixt homunculus and creator. For, should their ultimate plan succeed, she would be gone long before any of that were an option.

Her soft petting does not stop until she prepares herself to speak, palm returning to her hip, ‘It is. And you will, until the day we succeed in forming the grail. Even then, it will be your job to protect the new ‘me’ that comes from the process, and use me to fulfill our wishes. ‘

Why did Alysviel have to be the one to become the grail? They could have found someone else, and they could make their wishes together and not have Gareth make them for them. Though...if their plan comes to fruition Gareth could use her wish to bring Alysviel back so that she could properly court her.

“My lady once this new ‘you’ is here, and we fulfill our task. Will it be possible to bring the old you back? So that we may continue our time together? Will you allow me to have that wish?”
