Henrik Aarrestad Uldalen (1986)is a self-taught artist whose creative production revolves around classic figurative painting, presented in a contemporary manner. Henrik explores the dark sides of life, nihilism, existentialism, longing and loneliness, juxtaposed with fragile beauty. 

The atmosphere in his subject matter is often presented in a dream or limbo-like state, with elements of surrealism. His focus on atmospheres rather than narratives and realism leaves his painting open for many interpretations. Check out his website.

Bronze Fountains by Małgorzata Chodakowska

Małgorzata Chodakowska is a Polish artist sculptor born in Lodz 1965.

She studied sculpture art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1985) and continued her study at the Art Academy in Vienna (1988). In 1991, Chodakowska completed her dissertation in Vienna. She has been honored with the highly selective granted “Masterclass Award”. 

Chodakowska lifts her craftsmanship in bronze to the magical world of experience in which the balance between beauty and perfection delivers the most beautiful tension. Artist living and working in Dresden, Germany.

Income Inequality

Herwig Scherabon’s ‘Income Inequality’ project, details Los Angeles’ and Chicago’s income levels through a series of abstract data diagrams. The images reveal an architectural aesthetic by showing a high resolution matrix of blocks that mimic the appearance of magnetised iron. The poorest neighbourhoods in the city are clearly distinguishable and stand in distinct contrast to the highest towers belonging to the rich.
