Clay: I might be awake for the standby socks to go on. The guys I came with are still drinking and dancing. I’m at the table with a beer. Which is cool with me. I look funny dancing

Clay: Don’t beat anyone up. You do look cute like that. You can hit me with your best shot when I get home

Gracie: You do not – I love dancing with you. Especially when you let me stand on your toes, 😋

Clay: I thought I’m a 3 pair of sock kind of warmth

Gracie: The night's not over yet -- I have a third pair on standby!

Gracie: Awwww. I miss you too, babe. You're having fun with the guys, though, right? I don't have to come beat any of them up?

Clay: How are you without me there to keep your toes warm?

Clay: If there are no seats you can sit on my lap. It’s just as good. More comfortable

Gracie: I have two pairs of socks on, 😘😘😘

Clay: yes to silver linings. Now I think you use me as a foot warmer.

Clay: are you working the wedding this saturday?

Gracie: You’re so much better than a pair of fuzzy socks, 😘

Chloe: As long as you're having fun then yay!! it makes me so, so happy to see there are other people who enjoy what they do as a job. Too many drag themselves to work and it's depressing

Clay: I hate when I leave before dawn. I dont get to wake up with you.

Gracie: I knooooow, my feet are cold when you aren’t there to keep them warm in the morning.

Chloe: Graaaaaaaaaaacie!!! Christmas is only a few weeks away and I'm really excited about it!

Gracie: GIRL ME TOO.

You’re welcome! Oh that’s tremendous Grace, I’m glad you had such a great time away. Ah, well it’s only terrifying if you’re doing it wrong and I can’t imagine that’ll be the case.

This being married stuff is a piece of cake, I don’t know why I was so worried about it. Granted, that’s 99.9999% because Clay is the literal best, but math never was my best subject, ha.

I can’t see us going anywhere actually on Christmas… I think we need to work out logistics, really, but I don’t want to wait too long on the honeymoon. 

I got my new low-light lens in this morning and I can’t wait to use it, omg. Even a short, sweet little honeymoon is worth it – even if it’s just locking yourselves away together for a few days and not answering your cell phones!

Girl, don’t sell yourself short. I think you’d be a great mom. You being worried about if you would make a good mom and maybe screw up the kid’s life is proof enough. If anything, the kid will never be bored with you as a mom. Plus you got Clay, you guys would be great. This is not me trying to convince you to go get pregnant! If it looks that way, it’s really not. And forget we ever had this conversation, don’t want to risk to start sounding like my mom. HAha, I hadn’t noticed that before but yeah, Hill-Lee sounds hilly indeed

I’m not bad with toddlers in photo sessions, but newborns just make me so nervous. They’re so fragile and tiny and not yet old enough to appreciate my truly epic monster-face-making skills. But I never thought I’d be much good as someone’s wife, either, until Clay came along -- so we’ll see, once we've had a chance to enjoy being married for a while.

Riley: I think that's an amazing idea, Gracie! I better be invited to that housewarming party :P

You go, girl! That’s the spirit! The more I learn about your mine the more I like him. That’s all you can do about it. There’s no use running away from the questions, they will come anyway. Not to add to things but if the time comes and you’re in need of a damn good pediatrician, you know where to find me ;) Grace Lin Lee Hill would be a mouth full and a tongue twister, to say the least. :)  

He’s the best. Ohgod, I can’t even think about it yet -- like, Clay would be the cutest daddy, but I’d probably be a train wreck of a mom, and I don’t want to mess up an actual human life because I’m a flighty mess, you know? I thought about hyphenating, but it doesn’t flow right, you know? Lee-Hill is almost the same as what I’m doing, and Hill-Lee just sounds like... hilly.

Psh, we paled in comparison to you and your boy.

Me too! Best lead-in to Christmas ever. Do you guys have a honeymoon planned, or are you going to stick around for the holidays first?

Gracie: It feels like one. Like, we've been talking about what we both want for -- shit, almost a year now. And now we get to actually DO it.
