Youâre not supposed to not like your parentsâ theyâre your parents!â he said, anyway, looking over the fact that while his own mother and father hadnât been exactly the best anyone could have, he was cared for a significant amount than, say, someone whoâd been abandoned or mistreated.
Grace let out a little humorless laugh at his optimism, a small, sad smile spreading across her lips. âLife-givers, right? They choose to procreate for their own ego, and then you spend the rest of your life having to thank them for it...âÂ
