Created in Christ for Good Works

This verse reminds us to guard our eyes and hearts from unclean things, like pornography, that distort God’s design for intimacy and lead to spiritual harm. God calls us to pursue holiness and live in His light.

Dear God,

I acknowledge that every good thing in my life—my breath, my strength, my possessions—comes from You. As James 1:17 reminds us, every good gift is from You, the Father of lights. I trust that You are the source of all that I need.

Help me to rely on You completely, not leaning on my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), but trusting that You will provide for me, as Philippians 4:19 promises. In times of difficulty or uncertainty, I commit my way to You, knowing that You will act on my behalf (Psalm 37:5).

I desire to see Your power at work in my life, knowing that You are able to do more than I could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21). Use me, Lord, to bring Your light to the world and to reflect Your love and grace in all that I do.

When we boast in our weaknesses, we are not celebrating our shortcomings but acknowledging our need for a Savior. It is an act of surrender, an admission that we cannot navigate life's challenges alone. In our humility, Christ's power takes center stage, bringing forth resilience, wisdom, and endurance that surpass our natural capabilities.

God’s plans never fail. Our plans can. Yet he is able to make our success and failures his own.

God wants us to have joy! When difficulties arise we can ask God for help and he will show us the best course of action.
