Wren chuckled, blushed and nodded, “That’s very true. But that’s a reference to Hitchhiker’s Guide…” He corrected, but then added guiltily, “But nerdy nonetheless.” Wren liked that he could be a geek around Liam. And even though Liam sometimes laughed at him for it, Wren knew it was always out of play. Wren gave the server his order and turned to let Liam give his order as well. He would definitely be buying and he got his wallet out to do so. “I think we both could use massages,” he replied to Liam’s day survey.

“Ah…” Liam smirked and lowered his head slightly. “I apologize but I’ve never seen… read… that?” He tilted his head to the side as he glanced towards his boyfriend. He wasn’t sure if it was a movie or a book, although, he knew it could have been both. “Be a nerd all you want. It’s hot.” Liam leaned over and kissed Wren on the cheek and then told the server what he wanted. He frowned when he noticed Wren pulling out his wallet. “What are you doing?” Liam asked, as if he didn’t know. “Don’t– come on, let me pay.” He insisted and then rolled his eyes. “Yes, yes. But I’d rather it be you giving me a massage than anyone else.”

“I’m absolutely certain, just messin’ with ya,” he winked at him before patting the guy’s back, motioning for him to walk with him. Wren was a little caught off guard by how awkward John got, and then felt a little uncomfortable when he asked him who the lucky ‘lady’ was. He wasnt used to people batting an eye at him being gay, but he knew it existed. He was certain if his dad ever knew he’d hate him more than he already did, which he kept having to tell himself that was at least one benefit about living in Point. So when he answered John, he attempted to remain friendly, but there was a slight undertone of defensiveness. “The lucky /lad/, is Liam Slater,” he said. “He lives in Park.”

John let out a visible sigh of relief and instantly relaxed. He was always on the defence when it came to his sexuality. “Oh thank god.” He gave a nervous chuckle and rubbed at the back of his neck, playing it off by messing with his hair. “I’m the same. Not dating Liam, obviously, that’s not what I meant. But yeah, you know.” He gave warm smile. “Anyway, pizza. I’m assuming you know the best place for it right? This isn’t going to be a wasted trip for me?”

Wren smirked as he grabbed a plate and a piece of pizza, “Never. I’m sorry, I already forgot, who’s the best roomie?” He grinned as he grabbed the mini containers of ranch, mariana and barbeque sauce and opened them up to dip his crust in. Wren was a sauce man, and a crust first guy. He shrugged at Landon’s question playing it off nonchalant, “I had a shit day, I needed to treat myself,” he replied taking a bite out of the crust drenching in the sauces. “Good, I got the pizza, go get me a beer from the fridge,” he nudged him with a grin.

Jeez, the ego on this guy. It wasn’t what you’d expect from someone with such an innocent face, but that made it all the more entertaining. “When I find them, I’ll let you know,” he quipped back. The first bite of pizza definitely hit the spot, whatever that spot was. Landon’s day hadn’t been particularly stressful but it just felt like this pizza was deserved. Fully deserved. He laughed at Wren. “I still can’t believe you eat the crusts first man…that’s just wrong,” he laughed again. He gave a nod, knowing not to press on it any further. If the guy wanted to talk about his day, he’d bring it up. It was an unspoken rule they both had and Landon scoffed in another bite of pizza before standing. “At what point did I become your bitch?” He grabbed a beer for Wren and a beer for himself, plopping down on the couch next to him again. “Anything else for you good sir? Want me to run you a bath while I’m at it? Foot rub? Feed you the pizza?”
