“Don’t. I want to leave all of that behind me.”

“How?” he asked, shaking his head. “You can’t ‘leave that behind you’.”

“Could you? I don’t want to be overheating and annoyed”

“You’re kind of obnoxious yourself, you know that?”

“Sebastian tried to get me to have sex with him.”

“You’ve got to be fucking with me. I’m gonna kill him.”

“I had..teacher problems.” No. Why was he protecting him. “I mean–Sebastian problems.”

“Excuse me?”

Cherub shut the door behind him and sat down on his bed, looking up at him. “I was supposed to tell you before I left.”

Damian sat beside him, his brows raised. “Well, I’m here and I’m listening. So tell me.”

He nodded, “Yeah, lets do that.”

He led Cherub up to his room, silently.

Cherub missed him so much, he sighed and hugged him back, inhaling the smell of him again. “I have so much to talk about.”

Damian nodded. “We can go upstairs, talk,” he suggested, his voice soft. “If you want to.”

“Okay then. If that’s true, then I’m sorry. I was wrong.” he sighed and relaxed a bit, “Because I couldn’t say anything. It wasn’t a situation I could talk about I just needed to go home for a while.”

Damian pulled him into a tight embrace. “You know you can talk to me about anything,” he assured him. “I’m willing to listening.”

“Then why did you?!” he asked, he didn’t want to believe he’d do something like that, but it sure sounded that way. “I had to get away, okay? Had to visit my parents and just..go for a bit I wasn’t doing good.”

“Because she’s new and she needed someone to help her out,” he answered firmly. “i wouldn’t cheat on you, get that through your head. You’re the only person I’ve ever dated, I’d never ruin that.” Damian looked at his boyfriend carefully. “Why didn’t you say anything?”

“Are you serious?” he shook his head, “If I did the same thing, you’d be up my ass in no time at all. And no, it doesn’t feel like I can trust you now because you did this behind my back and you don’t even feel sorry.” he crossed his arms, “Did you even tell her you had a boyfriend or did that go out the window too?”

“She actually knows, yes,” he said, rolling his eyes. “You don’t even really know why I gave it to her, so why are you jumping to conclusions? All you heard was what I said, but that doesn’t mean it’s the truth, Cherub. Fuck. I didn’t really do anything wrong, you’re just assuming i did and you have no right to--where have you been this whole fucking time, huh?” 

“Yeah, and you think I’d be able to tell when you’re going to cheat on me.” he raised his eyebrows.

He scoffed. “Does it look like I’m cheating?” Damian asked. “For you to say that means you actually don’t trust me.” He stood up. “Which doesn’t work for me, because I haven’t cheated--and giving a random girl my number doesn’t mean I will.”

“Do I need to tell you I’m livid right now or can you tell.”

“Surprisingly, I can still pick it up,” he shrugged. “You know, with you staying away and all, you’d think it’d be hard to tell.”

“Should I get to know her? You know, since you gave your number out to her?”

“You should certainly try,” he said, shrugging. “You know, why not.”

“Yep,” he nodded. “so who’s the girl, babe.”

“Just some girl. You don’t know her.”

Cherub was dumbfounded at what he walked in and heard. “Hi, Damian.”

Damian simply looked up. “Ah, so you’re alive..?”

“Seems like everyone’s disappearing.” 

He shrugged. “That’s just life, I guess.”
