I'm supposed to move into low income housing tomorrow!
Problem is I have nothing +likely won't receive much if any help from homeless coalition (details below cut). Mainly worried about hygiene, few bath+kitchen items, + blow up mattress/pillow/sheets to sleep. I also need to renew (+replace) my phone, in order to search for a stable job. -Last week they pushed the move in date last minute, so fingers crossed, but as of now, the move in has been confirmed for tomorrow!
-Orientation for PT work Aug 11 (pays $90 1-3x/wk, starting 2nd week). This is with homeless organization, +limited resource. Will need working phone while searching for steady work (~60-90 to replace broken phone (which includes a month of service)).
-New case manager is useless +screwed my major option for furniture/houseware. She won't be able to put in another referral for me (which I can't do) til Sep 1.
-Have $100 voucher for thrift store on Aug 18 but might not have transportation for furniture back! CM kept asking me if I needed it, +I kept telling her yes, but I'm still confused if she secured that with thrift store, or if I should only take what I can carry (or CF for uhaul? jesus lol). Not sure what will be available there.
-Next appt w case manager Aug 22. She claims only other option for houseware is Jesus Saves, which was booked up weeks/months anyway. Jesus Saves was forced to change their rulebook in *2022* because they had a rule that no employee could be openly practicing homosexuality. They were sued +public uproar inc from city officials who forced/pressured them to remove specific rule but culture remains same. Might cave + go there but I'd kinda rather [redacted] myself. I won't know til Aug 22 anyway. From there, it'd b weeks or longer.
-No wifi but I'll go to library everyday. Once I'm able to get steady job, I want to get laptop soooooooooooo bad. I need it!!!! Been years at this point, feel like a part of myself has been crushed off.
-No bed or anything to cook with (no microwave, can use oven but at least need foil), no tupperware, no plates or forks or cups. No cleaning items of any kind. No broom or vacuum, no dishrack, no soap of any kind, no toilet cleaner. Genuinely nothing!
-I'm mainly worried about things like TP, shower curtain, towels, soap, kitchen/cleaning stuff, blow up mattress, sheets, pillow, pillowcase. There are a million tiny things you don't think about til you don't have anything. I'm gonna try to research other resources, but I don't understand why the homeless coalition can't help. I thought that was the point of them. Grateful for help in any way, please.
-Main things I need tomorrow: TP, towels, soap, few cleaning items, at least pillow + blanket. Few kitchen items (foil, cups, plates, forks, knife or scissors, pan, pot, spatula). My SNAP comes tomorrow! But uh I really need anything to be able cook + clean.
Aug 11- I went to orientation for job program today. I filled out the paperwork, + am waiting to hear back after background check. I'm worried I no longer qualify- they stressed this program was for homeless individuals- but hopefully I'm wrong.
I told them my phone is out of service (+wrote down my email), but they told everyone they would call us back.
Could anyone help me get my phone back in service ($40), or replacing (60+shipping)? It's been glitching awhile now. I need it in service to apply for work. Can't do SW without phone service either.
Got some house/cleaning items, but still sorely lacking, especially kitchen+cleaning stuff. Sorry to keep begging, but grateful for help a little longer please.

I literally had to flee because she started having a mental breakdown. I spent 5 days being endlessly harassed and treated like a child by this person. She broke down when I tried to enforce boundaries and I had to get out of there ASAP. I had to spend $200 to get out of the city because I got lost.

Also for those of you who missed what happened, I am homeless as the result of litigation abuse. My ex had me thrown out of the apartment by making up a history of domestic violence by misrepresenting my reactions to his verbal abuse in the past and incidents where I intended to self-harm so he could file a restraining order. I didn’t have a lawyer and the order went through, the judge was absolutely horrible to me and treated me like I was crazy.
