me: suddenly remembers that dan is in fact attracted to men, has been dealing with his sexuality the entire time we’ve known him, his sexuality has played a major part in his life and his issues with self hatred and mental illness that he’s shared with us for years, has had lots of sex with men, he was actively closeted and scared in 2012 and thats why he acted the way he did, has been in a loving relationship with phil, who he considers his soulmate, for nearly ten years, and has now finally been able to call himself a gay man after years of deep-seeded internalized homophobia directly connected to that word, and that he told us all of this himself
