Yeah, I mean, I think the canon reasoning behind her issue with Caitl*n makes total sense to me. But it also raises some questions when you realize that she didn't have any serious issues over Silco working with an Enforcer. The issue is that she realizes Vi has some emotional investment in Caitl*n. I do wonder if she would have been so against it if Sevika hadn't put in her head that Vi was replacing her.

Jinx knowing that Vi sees Caitl*n in a romantic light makes her jealousy a little suspicious, imo. It gives potential to additional interpretations, imo. If she was completely unaware of the romance bubbling between Ca*t & Vi then the purely platonic reading totally makes sense, but how did she even realize there was romance? From one hug seen from afar? One she tried desperately to convince herself was "just a goodbye hug." And if she realizes there's a difference, then why be so possessive? Ofc we could chalk it up to her mental illness and unhealthy attachment to Vi (& only Vi because we don't see the same level of attachment to anyone else) because of the level of trauma she's experienced since infancy along with her sister. But then, it can be argued that this could also lead Jinx's attachment on Vi to evolve into something that it shouldn't. Her obsession w/ her creates this lack of differentiation between platonic and romantic love. She just knows she wants Vi; she also wants Vi's full commitment, like when they were kids.

So basically, I see both the platonic canon reading but also the potential subtext. The subtext is pretty strong, imo. Anyone doubting that should go read the lyrics of "Our Love," which played over Vi & Jinx scenes, a love song that very much sounds romantic. It's also amusing how exactly Vi and Jinx's story parallels Catradora.

This line hits way harder when you realize only a few hours earlier she practically committed suicide after Vi leaves her a second time.

We've speculated that Jinx was trying to commit suicide on the bridge scene but that line almost quite literally makes that speculation canon. I can't believe I hadn't made the connection earlier.

Hence the "Vi" on her neck 😭

Jinx's attachment/love/obsession to Vi is endearing and so heartbreaking. I love their relationship because they need each other. And it may seem like the attachment is one sided but it's not. Vi's entire season arc revolves around Powder/Jinx. We don't get to see Vi open up much but when she does it's always connected to Jinx in some way.
