Gosselin Girls: Homestyle

Thought what a perfect time to post a quick note while on our long road trip to celebrate our youngest who is our last to graduate college! Hard to think we’ve made it this far!! Many memories made along the way as far as road trips with all three kids . I remember how hard it was to leave Roger off at VTC!!!! It was horrible when we drove off thinking how can we leave him here? It was even worse to see my husband in his strength not being able to hold back any tears. Well we made it home and called Roger to tell him if he needed us to call and we would be right back to get him! Little did we know he managed fine and three years graduated with honors! With a degree in Civil engineering he quickly choose a different path which led him to be a full time firefighter! He’s an amazing young man who now has a lovely wife. They just built a home and not too far away!!Jake was the second to go off to college but he did go to a far away land. He went all the way to Illinois which was totally crazy leaving him off.. I can’t tell you how hard it was to board the plane home without him. I’ll never forget a sweet lady sitting beside me trying to a console my heart. We made it home and two months later we (a group of seven of us )flew to see him on parents weekend. Again we were happy to see how great he was doing! He met his beautiful wife there and now they are married and living in Colorado, homeowners teaching at a school, attending Seminary and they both are serving at a church as Worship leaders. On to our third…she is graduating with a degree in Elem education and a minor in Music! We are so proud of her many accomplishments and I’m sure this weekend will be an honor for us to watch her receive her diploma knowing we raised this young lady! She will come home for 2.5 weeks then off to Catalina island off the coast of Cali to serve as worship leaders with the man who holds the key to her heart—Paul..then home to return to UCA to teach 2nd grade! YES I’m totally looking forward to sharing time with her now as a young lady in our eyes….not just our little girl! Being 50 has been awesome! I truly can say its pretty cool to think I have two sons married and three children through college. We now await for the next season of our life….just sayin it will hopefully grow bigger and bigger. All of this possible with God as our Savior, provider, and Heavenly Father…love and joy gayla
