Patreon is empowering a new generation of creators. Support and engage with artists and creators as they live out their passions!
I finally got the balls to do this and post it. So… yeah! Support me and get discounts on commissions, art, patreon only WIPs and sketches, and hi res PNGs of the final art! While the finished work will still be posted publicly for all to see, supporters will get all the nitty gritty that goes into making my work and will get access to any polls I open for fanart pieces :) I included a zip download as a welcome package that contains the hi res file for my Lady Death piece and a few WIPs! Please take a look and spread the word if you can! :D
I will be working on a new pinup piece for this and will be posting it at the end of the month for download as well :)
Support the craft of my good friend Amber. Her body of work comes from sheer dedication!

And this, because I find it so amusing that Krusty the Klown once had anything on his show that had to do with collective bargaining agreements! Who would take a news talkshow hosted by a clown seriously anyway?
[Krusty] Good evening. Tonight my guest is AFL/CIO chairman George Meany, who will be discussing collective bargaining agreements. Mr Meany, let me be frank. Is there a labor crisis in America today?
[George Meany, in perhaps the most boring voice ever] Well, Krusty, that depends on what you mean by “crisis”….

the super-est of metroids
Maggots is a difficult work not only narratively but also physically. It is almost impossible to read what he drew. He worked on used Japanese catalogs and printed Japanese letters in a way that obscures his words. Even if the reader was able to decipher the meaning in a panel, the sequence of panels on a page is usually not in order, so passage of time is unclear. The background is obsessively covered with his line – what we can see is usually only black or grey color plate. He hardly hints as to the whereabouts the images reference. There is no overall narrative. Disparate episodes are next to each other. A guy dates, hangs out with friends, goes abroad, listens to music, eats, runs and fights. Brian Chippendale depicts each behavior with repetitive panels with slight modification. Along with aforementioned intensively covered background, this fervid action-filled drawing delivers the gushing energy of youngsters. This outpouring of energy, however, does not imply positive aspects. The convoluted lines of the drawing along with the disordered panels, disconnected time and space, and non-linear narrative suggest the confusion and anxiety of the youth. Moreover, the impenetrability of the work – from elements (words) to narrative as a whole – alludes to jevenile tendency for protectiveness. Maggots is the epitome of comics that art speaks more than words.
What the hell am I doing?
Anyway, I saw thevideogameartarchive post some Kid Icarus artwork from the NES era right after my friend linked me the Urusei Yatsura opening and I laughed at how similar Ataru and Pit looked.
Then this happened.
