cannot stop thinking about that post thats like "yeah homestuck sucks & is badly written with little moments of good writing for characters. thats why people are right when they don't read the comic or make up their own characterizations" because like the vast majority of these fanmade characterizations just fucking suck

like im sorry if you don't like the comic and you just want shipping i think you just need to read literally anything else because homestuck's original characterizations weren't bad for the most part and i genuinely enjoyed most of the comic? like yeah there's parts i disliked toward the end (the retcons i haaaate the retcons) but like... i did like the comic? acts 1-5 are some of my favorite writing i have ever read. why are you here if you just straight up hate it? couldn't you use your time on something better . like i have looked at fanwork for jade for over half a decade and cannot say the vast majority of homestuck fans have done anything interesting with her character despite her being one of the most interesting in the comic. "hussie doesn't deserve his dolls so we take them away" you don't deserve them either girl this is why davekat fucking sucks in postcanon neither of them have personalities outside of each other anymore because of this mentality
