Warning‼️: I don't actually know a whole lot about Subkit's canon dynamic so this is just the vibe I'm getting from them. This might be highly OOC for all I know ;3

I originally wanted to make Medkit look cold but the highlight gave him soul so now he just has this indecipherable, complicated gaze.

If you look closer, Subspace's hand isn't actually clamped down on Med's face, more just held there without force—same with Medkit's revolver, it's like his heart isn't in aiming it because he's too focused on Subspace. They both could shove the other away easily but they didn't (that's like, metaphor or some shit).

Subspace is angled away from the camera, and we're only seeing his bad eye. That, and with the more vibrant colours, it makes him look almost less human (inphernal), but also we don't know what his expression actually is. He could be the smug manic asshole that he is, or he could be also giving Meddy *the look*.

(Okay I wanted to have Medkit's other hand pulling Subspace towards him but couldn't get the hands to work so just, imagine that.)

It's pretty clear in the picture that Subspace is leaning in, advancing, while Medkit is retreating, BUT, butttt, Sub's other hand isn't actually doing anything. They're both contradicting their body language—attacking but not fully committed, withdrawing while controlling the space. IDK MAN I LIKE YEARNING. IMAGINE THIS IS, LIKE, IN SOME UNRELIABLE NARRATOR UNCONSCIOUS DREAMSPACE OR SOMETHING.
