Goodtime Boys - Things I Still Don’t Understand 7"

Does anyone remember when I ran out of good things to say about all my Good Riddance records and compared them to pizza restaurants? Same deal, its all good. Pick up an release and you won’t be disappointed. I really don’t think it matters what you are into specifically, be it pop punk, hardcore, emo, metal… this band seems to cross so many borders that I think anyone can appreciate what they bring to the table. Maybe crusty kids won’t dig it… but they are dirty and smelly anyways.

Archive stories: Goodbye boys

So Goodtime Boys hung it up the other day. Major bummer. I caught them back in the spring of 2013 with Loma Prieta and was blown away by the intensity of their live set and have been a fan ever since. GtB and Loma crashed at my old house on that tour, so I got to hang out with everyone for a bit and shoot some of the down time around Boston.

Later that year, Pennie and his wife to be, Meghan, hit me up to come out and photograph their wedding in San Francisco, which I was more than excited to do! It was a great trip and wonderful wedding! I can’t wait to get back out there and hang soon.

After being a band for just over six years we’ve decided to stop making music as GTB. The band has become harder to manage over the past year or so and various things have contributed to us deciding to end it. We’ve toured with some incredible musicians and have made so many friends through music, it really has been more than we could have hoped for. Thank you to every single person that’s been involved with the band on all levels along the way. Promoters, labels and our friends have all been so generous and willing to take a chance on us. Bridge Nine Records / Tangled Talk Records / Holy Roar Records / Palm Reader Records Most of us will be making new music under a new name in 2015 which we hope to share with you soon.
