You heard it right folks, this is the blog to submit good forsaken takes! Not to be confused with the original goodforsakentakes, which the Mod never clicked on but was apparently not living up to its name.

This blog is also BFTverse sibling of @actuallygood-forsakentakes!!

What can be a good take?

Something well-thought out, even if it isn’t positive, can be a good take! (the story of forsaken in general is not very happy, good takes can still be sad or angsty)

A take that goes against popular fanon can be a good take!

A take that agrees with popular fanon can be a good take!

Something that only works in cooperation with headcanons can be a good take! (If you wish to submit something of that kind, go ahead! Just provide context so it’ll be easier to understand!)

Really, the main way to make something not a good take is to not think it through properly or to overly stereotype it.

Come on forsaken spread some joy ‘round here the spectre will survive a day or two without a thanksgiving dinner’s worth of fear to eat!!! Not to mention having your loved one back won’t stop you from being scared when they kill all your friends off one by one (haha) and leave you for last.

Wait, actually, imagine the suffering from both partners when, even though their love was left for last, they still have to die/kill the other anyway because that’s how the game works?

Personal hc but if any of the killers leave a survivor alive ON PURPOSE then The Spectre’s gonna make sure to punish them for that somehow, so the best (or possibly only) option would really be to kill anyway. It does this to make sure the killers don’t decide to go on strike for some reason some day (say John Doe somehow gets past all the safety measures to stop him from loving Jane and knowing she’s there brings him enough peace to not want to kill anymore, although blog mod is aware it wouldn’t just be that easy) That’d cause more fear over time, right??

1. it’s doomed, so free angst. the ship was kind of a mess to begin with, but that’s why i like it. also, my take on noob666 is more as a romance that never was, both had feelings for each other but never got to confess.

2. sixer actually seems really interesting, like noob who was always better than them and sixer’s scared of them leaving and thinking sixer’s a burden. and they thought exploits were the only way to make noob not hate them after that one loss that was apparently so bad they disappeared for a bit (noob never hated sixer, they were only ever concerned for how competitive they were getting). and them exploiting here was different from the myth, this was just so noob wouldn’t hate them. and it wouldn’t hurt if no one noticed, right? they are also doing this to be seen as more than the myth, but i’m focusing more on their relationship with noob. essentially, “abandonment issues sixer” according to canary anon

3. noob, poor noob. they witnessed sixer slowly destroy themselves, that shit has to be traumatic yet they kept silent about it because they didn’t want to ruin their relationship. and then eventually when they do confront sixer about it, it leads to a massive falling out between them then sixer disappears.

and noob misses sixer, they miss what they had together, they feel guilty that they didn’t do anything sooner, that maybe they could have prevented this.

this is also not helped by the fact that in my headcanons, noob did end up saying this: “… you… you really were the violent exploiter the rumors warned me of. Never talk to me again, Guest 666.” noob regrets this a lot now. but in their defense sixer just punched them in the face

4. forsaken. sixer hates noob now for not stopping them, and because noob was right about everything and they hate that and fully believe they were always meant to be the hacker/beast the myths said them to be, and pretend they weren’t is pointless and they need to let go of their friendship with noob but they miss noob a lot and they loved noob… okay, adding that as reasons why sixer hates noob now.

and noob, the guilt came back after slowly trying to heal from the falling out, sixer was back but they were like this now, and noob was wrong about them, they weren’t a violent exploiter, they were noob’s friend and they loved them… !

then noob is left wondering if they ever really knew sixer

Ships can actually add so much depth to characters if done correctly!! Angst my beloved…

The not ever confessing to each other reminds me of the fact I played Slime Rancher recently, actually. The story isn’t similar to that of Noob and Sixer, but there’s someone that sends you letters/emails who reveals that she had feelings for you (and I believe it’s implied that the character you play as had feelings for her too) but never got the opportunity to really confess. And now, the both of them are around 1000 light years apart from each other, but still get to follow their dreams.

Meanwhile, with Noob and Sixer, I could see it as essentially the other way around. I’m essentially just repeating what you already said here, but in contrast to never confessing and being stuck 1000 light years apart, they never confessed but are stuck in some realm that isn’t home forever. They are still able to talk, but they aren’t happy and I doubt The Spectre would actually let them heal properly, if you understand what I’m trying to say? Slime Rancher has a positive aspect to being apart while Forsaken has a negative aspect of being stuck together (which could probably also apply to Two Time and Azure)!

Aghh abandonment issues Sixer is something I’m DEFINITELY stealing. Of course it wouldn’t hurt if no one noticed, but the more one does that the more noticable it becomes!! Sixer, nooo!!!!!

To be honest, I’d say that keeping silent about something someone you care about is doing because you don’t want to ruin anything between you is the worst feeling ever. Plus the guilt you said Noob would feel after??? Aughh NOOB NO YOU COULDN’T HAVE DONE ANYTHINGGG!!!! plus the saying something in the heat of the moment thing </3
