on thursday victor was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma, which gave him 1-6 months to live. on friday we took him into the emergency vet for a possible stroke and 12 hours later on saturday he was diagnosed with brain cancer and now it's more like a handful of days. i haven't slept for 55 hours. he's nearly completely blind and can't use his hind legs. right now he is asleep in the closet. there's nothing left in me to cry. he's 7 years old, he's a baby. this month marks the 7 year anniversary of me adopting him. i'm so numb. i'm so numb and i'm so tired and i can't sleep and i know when he comes out i'm going to start crying again. he's never done anything to hurt anyone. he's a good boy. i want my cat back. i want to go to bed. i want to go home.

it is 5:51 am and i am at the emergency vet and the next available vet isn't coming in until 7 and i have been awake for 43 hours and that's the longest i've ever been awake and i'm going to continue to be the longest i've been awake for many more hours
