9 out of 10 doctors agree

on thursday victor was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma, which gave him 1-6 months to live. on friday we took him into the emergency vet for a possible stroke and 12 hours later on saturday he was diagnosed with brain cancer and now it's more like a handful of days. i haven't slept for 55 hours. he's nearly completely blind and can't use his hind legs. right now he is asleep in the closet. there's nothing left in me to cry. he's 7 years old, he's a baby. this month marks the 7 year anniversary of me adopting him. i'm so numb. i'm so numb and i'm so tired and i can't sleep and i know when he comes out i'm going to start crying again. he's never done anything to hurt anyone. he's a good boy. i want my cat back. i want to go to bed. i want to go home.

it is 5:51 am and i am at the emergency vet and the next available vet isn't coming in until 7 and i have been awake for 43 hours and that's the longest i've ever been awake and i'm going to continue to be the longest i've been awake for many more hours

i've been reading exquisite corpse and it's an interesting book, very compelling, but i've reached the point of tran's introduction and it is so incredibly racist but i cannot find anything where people are talking about that. any negative reviews are about the gore content or the admittedly very purple prose. i feel like i'm going insane. am i going insane? am i the only person who thinks this is racist? i can't be the only one
