hi. sooooo after the event i hosted last year was a bit of a disaster bc like 80% of the people either dropped out or did not have a chance to finish their fic (me included 😭) i thought an event like this would ensure that a lot less pressure be put on the participants.

this is the tweet i saw if youre still a little unsure about what this event is:

please do not hesitate to sign up even if u arent a writer or have never written a fic before!! this is supposed to be lighthearted and fun!! and there will be an option to have your chapter uploaded anonymously if u wish to do so.

general rules/things to know:

no explicit smut!! your writing can include content that warrants the mature rating on ao3, but nothing explicit please as i do not know for sure the ages of everyone here.

to keep things simple, this will be dnf only, no multishipping, and no ocs. if u want to include characters of the dteam universe, please be mindful of who u choose and how u implement them in your story. i encourage choosing scenarios that wont put your next writer in a difficult spot!

chapter lengths are unlimited! write to your hearts content!

please do not include nothing that would warrant a ao3 archive warning!

i will create a google doc and invite everyone in one by one when its your turn to write a chapter. this way, the fic will be posted all at once at the end when its completed. this will give u the freedom to read over everyone's writing that came before u. please do not change nothing that a previous person wrote, hopefully that should go without saying 😭😭

once the doc is yours to access, u get to control whatever happens in the chapter.

please let me know if youll need to drop out of the event at any point, or if u want to rejoin at any point, i'll happily work around it.

at some point in the next 2 weeks or so (depending on how many submissions i get) i will be reaching out via tumblr dms to let you know what everyone has chosen as the general vibe of the fic, and what your chapter # will be.

(obligatory disclaimer) if we've ever had disagreements in the past, consider it forgotten on my end. we are a small community, and i dont want to continue limiting my exposure to such a talented group of people for petty grudges i may have held at one point. (however, if u do run a crit blog where any private information of cc's is discussed directly on your page i do not feel comfortable having u in the event, im sorry.)
