concept still isn't fully formed, but I took big inspiration from the movie 'rise of the guardians' with a dash of 'noragami' (my beloved). emu nene and rui are magical beings that come from a parallel realm of non human entities. these three are especially prominent spirits that have ascended to "guardians", manifestations of certain virtues that protect and inspire those in the human realm. guardians aren't gods per say, but they rank above ordinary spirits.

powers of the guardian trio are as of now undecided, but all spirits have some manner of supernatural abilities. humans don't, but some 'sensitive' individuals can perceive or even interact with spirit realm dwellers. saki and tsukasa both fall into this category :)
