1. What fanfic is Penny reading?!

Hi hi, so I think Penny is really into Skam. But I didn’t want to say “Skam”  because you never know how a pop culture reference is going to age. (This is why they make bad spells.) I usually stick to big things that almost everyone will recognize and that already have a lot of context. 

SUCH AS THE BEATLES. Baz likes the Beatles because I like the Beatles. And because I’m the oldest of five kids and have sung to a lot of crying babies.

I guess I imagined that Baz’s parents had Beatles albums – or probably CDs – but maybe his grandmother Adolorata was really into the Beatles. Maybe her record collection was already at Pitch Manor, and Baz used to listen to them when he was a little boy. 

Or maybe … there are a lot of Grimms hanging around. Maybe his Grimm grandparents were the Beatles fans. Maybe Baz has a really cool Grimm uncle or cousin who made him playlists when he was a tween. 

The canon stories about these characters sit on the edge of infinity. We know quite a bit about Simon’s circle, but even he has twenty years worth of stories we’ve never heard and important people we’ve never met.

One last question: Were there any costumes that made him cringe and think, “Oh, my God — I’ve got to wear that?”
