“They were.” she agreed with a sigh. “I do miss it. Being young.” Frances recalled the times when she was just a young lady. How entering a room then and now were completely different. How now instead of having a mother, she was one. And instead of one man in her heart, now two. “Things were simpler when we were young. Everything was laid out for us.”

"...I don't know if I miss it or not. I have mixed feelings." Aleister turned his stare again to the ceiling. "I loved my youth, being with my mother, and going to Weston. But after her death... It was like an horrible fall from a mountain. I don't regret anything... well, one or other thing, but I don't exactly miss those days. It wasn't so easy, but it wasn't difficult. I prefer be the Aleister from the present than the one from the past." Looking again at Frances, he smiled. "It must be a tad lot difficult to you, dear... I mean, women take it a lot more seriously than men. Growing up."

“Of course I didn’t forget, but we’ve danced other times before I married, I also danced with a few others that night.” she said before her hands were firmly grasped by Aleister. “They weren’t around me for me. Vincent was, but the others were there for him.” she said again with a soft laugh. “I think your exaggerating just a tad bit, but then again, that is your nature.”

"I wasn't exaggerating anything, I am only speaking the truth... Look at how low the tone of my voice is. If I was exaggerating anything, would I be speaking like this?" He was enchanted with her soft laughter, sighing. "But then again, what did I knew about anything back then...? Although those were very, very good times."

“He did, stood by Diedrich the entire night, but Diedrich was with Vincent, and Vincent hovered me. So I had 3 men’s eyes on me all night.” she said with a laugh. “And what do you mean by ‘get your share’ of me? You make it sound like I was some piece of meat that a pile of dogs were fighting over and your proud to say you got a bite.” she questioned with a laugh. “Well, I suppose in the end you did.” she smirked. Using her own analogy for a different meaning, relating to not that night yeas ago, but the night before as well as just a few moments ago.

He laughed, Frances was just too sweet sometimes, even with her deep and righteous voice. "I did dance with you, darling. I can't believe you've forgotten! I've must have been really bad at it, what a shame to my own past in that school." He took her hand in his, looking at her in the eye. "You weren't a piece of meat. You were a woman, a very beautiful woman by then. Can't help if other men were around you."
