PARTING FROM his lips, the laughter echoed down his phone. Back against the wall, he listened as the voice transmitted from his mobile. âFather, I promise I wonât do anything reckless, Iâll be back before you notice Iâm gone.â Jack grumbled affectionately. They may not have been his real fatherâs, yet; they were all he had in this world, and they did care for him. âOkay, okay. Iâll be back by Eleven. No alcohol, I knowâŚâ Not like he could drink, he wasnât old enough anyway; not to mention his medication didnât allow him to drink. âI love you too, send my love to Dad.â Jack finished, hanging up the phone. Fingers pulling at his pocket, sliding his phone back inside.Â
Kicking his leg, he pushed his body from the wall. Darkened hues glanced around the area. He was supposed to meet his school friends at three. He still had an hour to kill. Rounding the corner of the street, a chill struck his spine. His feet scuffled as he stopped head in his tracks, eyes flashing a golden hue for just a moment. A hand gripped tightly at his hair, the voices screaming through his brain. It sounded like a warning, but he needed to shut them out..
Darkness engulfed him, the fear followed. Evil was the only thing he could feel around him. He shook his head, regaining his vision, albeit rather blurred. His eyes searched for the figure causing such fear. Heâd never felt it quite like this before.Â
Finally Jackâs dark brown eyes set upon him, a figure of nightmares. Yet, just an ordinary man to look at. He couldnât understand why he was so struck with fear. Jackâs hand gently slipped into his pocket, hands gripping tightly to his phone, in case of emergency. âExcuse me, d-do I know you?âÂ
Power was running through his veins, into his blood. It had been weeks, Hell even months, but Lucifer couldnât shake off the feeling. The sensation of a burning new grace, the feeling that he could bring them all to their knees. Take his revenge, maybe. Murder Heaven, get Dad to regret what he had done to him. The power was rushing in all of his body, making him feel like he had never been as powerful as he was now. Apocalypse was coming. And this time he wouldnât miss his shot.
He had been walking around the streets, taking in a deep breath of fresh air, as he tried to ignore all of the apes all around him. Soon, it would all be his. Soon, it would all belong to him. Heaven on Earth, all for him. Oh sure, he knew the demons believed he would let them come here. But they were just demons, and filthy creatures. Earth and its pure aura was not for these creatures of Hell, and at some point, he would make them understand that it was his, and only his.Â
While walking, a sensation stopped him. Power, something burning next to him. He could feel it, he could feel someone near. And he knew who it was. Hell, one second had been enough for him to know who it was. He had felt him since the moment Kelly had started to carry his child. Jack.Â
Eyes glowing red for one second, he looked around.Â
Itâs only when he saw the nephilimâs wings that he actually saw who he really was. What he really looked like. And as his eyes turned back to a normal color, he heard the young boyâs question.
He had this aura that stink of humanity, and Lucifer wanted it to change. He already seemed too much like his mother.Â
âJack?â He just questioned. But he knew, he didnât have to ask.
