And it’s then that he realizes that his liquor-soaked brain likes the way Alec looks under the low light. He likes the way Alec licks salt off the back of his palm and follows it with golden tequila. The slightest hint of a grimace. The way he picks up the slice of lime and puts it in between his teeth and the smile he sends Magnus’s way, which seems to be in direct correlation with the heat bubbling steadily in his chest.

He’s not entirely sure why. And it’s kind of throwing him off. This whole… not knowing thing.
