but yeah I made a few potential logos for people in the bang to use if they want, since there's no official logo (yet?). most of them are just silly and relevant only because oh look Old Person things lol. I originally just threatened to make a dentures logo upon learning there was no existing official logo, and I was not stopped but instead encouraged to create such a thing so that's on them man honestly. for the designs, I did favor a lot of blue and green for obvious reasons and then layered the colors and shading a bit to make everything look okay so hopefully they're like. useable lol

then here are the individual versions of each. if anyone wants a color or shading style or something swapped out, just DM me (on discord is better but here would also work). I'd offer to send the file but it is on an animation app in a project with over 150 other frames so uh yeahno not gonna send that. sorry flipaclip studios but your file sharing is abysmal tbh

I don't even know what happened here tbh. it started out as oh I can draw like Dean and Cas in armor because a lot of her OCs are like medieval (?) to some extent. then it became oh I can make them animals haha that would be fun oh oh and let's add a horse bc she likes horses yep uh huh—wait when did it become a weird Puss in Boots AU????

that was pretty much the thought process. I tried using colored pencils for the first time with this one but I don't think it turned out super great tbh lol. I only had the one brown and wanted to differentiate between like six different shades so I tried combining stuff and uh yeah so the blending didn't work too great and it came out just kinda weird. thank @ragd0lly for helping me not tear up the page and eat it out of frustration

also ashamed to say I could definitely see myself expanding this AU. ie if it's based on Puss in Boots (somehow, still don't know how that happened) then Jack just has to be Perrito right? what species should he be though (personally I think something huge would be funny. I find crazy size differences to be amusing, hence why Cas is like half Dean's size at all times. imagine that little fluffy boy pulling Dean up from Hell like bro he's an apple and a half tall MAX okay ,_,)

this is another Laz Original (TM), where she had the idea of Godstiel being kept in a cage by Dean until he gives up the souls (or Dean gives up his will lol as seen in the second picture). somewhere along the line it became a bird cage for added symbolism and angst. y'know, as a treat

this is another unique art style I tried to do, this one heavily inspired by the style that @hellion-cat used in this series of art pieces that my brain refused to release. I tried to imitate the style a bit but uh don't think I did all that well tbh lool. it was still interesting to try to emulate that with traces of my usual style poking through though, even if I was visibly guessing with the lightning. I've never drawn a cage before so it's a bit of a mess as well and also more than a little inconsistent between the two art pieces but ehh an attempt was made

this idea is another one of laz's and is actually a follow-up for prompt 2, handcuffs/chains, hence why the art styles are so similar (main difference is the color palette really). this means more angst potential which is always fun yayy

the goal of this one was primarily just to mirror what I did for prompt 2, since the fic is a continuation of that, hence the similar positioning of the characters and the style in general. this one has decidedly been marinating in pickle juice for an unknown length of time however. I wanted it to be made in shades of green and got a palette online but didn't really take into account just how green it would be I guess? the actual magical bindings took it over the top I think but oh well, might as well add some chaos for funsies right? the wings came out weirdly okay considering how lazy I was with them btw

this is the last of the prompt ideas that I came up with I promise lol. for this one, the idea was Cas very badly trying to tie his own tie and uh getting all tied up in it, and Dean comes by to help him out. I like coming up with maybe more unexpected ways to fill the prompts. this one very easily could've become a idk sexy one or smth but instead it's kinda sweet. I feel like a lot of the prompts could be violent or intimate like that, so I like subverting the obvious themes and going down more unexpected paths (but dw, the darker prompts are still ahead as Lazarus mans the ship oh no send help)

continuing the theme of unique art styles or techniques (which I should've been mentioning earlier on oops), this little comic has a style that is VERY different than what I usually do, so it was interesting to see how it kinda turned out. I'm really bad at doing stuff with colors so thank @hellion-cat for helping me make it look okay ,_, (shockingly it actually looked far worse before)

I started coming up with the idea for this piece actually way in the beginning of seeing the prompt, when laz and I first started talking about collabing on these. I knew I wanted to flip the expectations a bit and have the living restraint prompt be a bear hug (Cas needs more hugs guys). I came up with a few different designs that will probably be posted independently eventually maybe (assuming I ever finish them), but we eventually had the idea of creating octopus creature!dean and mermaid!cas for mermay yayy. always wanted to do mermay but always forgot it even existed or was too busy to do anything ,_, (laz came up with the sea monster eating people idea though, unsurprisingly. I promise eating people was not in my original idea draft guys. it's a fun contrast though considering the art is inspired by the movie Luca loool)

I tried a whole new drawing program for this one called Affinity Designer, which is vector based (as opposed to raster based/pixels like I'm used to). I still don't really know how to color on it. thank @blueeyesblueties for being extremely patient with me and helping me figure out how to use the program (I really needed the help guys I was/am a total disaster and uh likely would've given up 5 curves in otherwise tbh). it's still fitting though since a bonus challenge I've been doing for this week is pushing myself to try new art styles/techniques, and you can't get much more new than an entirely different art program ow. also I'm aware the fish shapes in the background look weird but they were fun to draw like that so I kept them

the fic this is made for is called 'A Sea Monster Meat-Cute' by @lazarus-rose for the restraintstiel week challenge

I came up with the idea for this one (hence why it's not angsty Laz), so it features a cowboy sorta setting and the rope is a lasso, because of course it is. I very rarely ever do comics, and this is like my second ever full page comic so uh yeah that's why it's a mess ig as far as the paneling goes

as a disclaimer I stupidly colored this entire thing at night with the brightness as low as it could go because ow my retinas. looking back and thinking about it for more than two seconds, that was probably a dumb thing to do but oh well. but yeah that's why Dean's boots are pink; I noticed while I was shading stuff but honestly it had aura so I kept it (they were supposed to be an orangish sort of brown to stand out from the background since I colored them in that bottommost scene first). also Cas is actually supposed to be a phoenix which is why his wings are red and orange going down something something fire. I wanted to add more bird-like features to not pull a Supernatural visual effects and go with like. dude with slightly strange features. but it looked really weird and my author tragically vetoed the bird feet so alas, we must sacrifice

Cas is decidedly Not Amused by this turn of events. this coloring and shading style is obviously not something I've done before but I think it actually doesn't look too bad all things considered, especially since I've had trouble in the past with getting colors to complement that specific outline color (which I picked because it seemed a bit cowboy-y). also notice how between the last panel of the comic and the bonus, Cas goes from having the magic rope wrapped around him one time to suddenly three times over, implying Dean took the time to wrap Cas up even more just to bug him a bit. I felt this was very important to point out

the second prompt is for handcuffs/chains, and since we decided to split up the prompts between us, laz was the one who came up with the subject of this prompt by starting on a fic outline. I illustrated a scene from the fic she started and I also contributed to in order to get some of the boring fluff out of the way to make room for more angst in the part two for this fic (posted on the 30th for the sixth prompt 'magic,' another Lazarus pick :0)

I was going for a gritty awful mess sort of vibe with this one and only used six colors (well actually seven for the purple bruises oops), five of which were in the scale of greys and the other being red of course. the slight glow effect actually started out red but it was kinda cursed so I went with white instead to add to the 'hope has arrived' motif. also I nearly forgot to add the wings several times so thank Laz for them actually being there or I would've completely forgot lool

this challenge is a week long event where various prompts are filled to have Cas restrained in a number of ways. I'm doing a bonus challenge to try to do new/different art styles for each of the prompts, starting off with this weird Camp Camp-y sort of style and yeah idk what I was really doing here but I think it turned out okay, even if the trees feel like they're missing something but idk what. also yeah the scenery in the art doesn't quite match the fic since it's night here and outside vs day and inside the Bunker in the fic oops ignore that

the first prompt is collar, so naturally I immediately thought of viscacha!cas because I'm absolutely cooked oop (the autism is too strong I'm afraid chat :/). I realized I've been drawing viscacha!cas as basically a minccino lately (one of my favorite Pokemon so it's unsurprising) and leaned fully into it with this one to the point where the inclusion of that bonus panel in the corner is entirely inspired by this picture of grumpy!minccino my beloved. Cas just deserved to be extremely grumpy here guys

despite wanting to go for something basic and similar to what I always do to show the process, I ended up trying some new things this time around as far as texturing various cloth and hair bits with the 'crayon' tool. I also tried doing like actual body hair for the first time because I know some people who will scream about it (in a good way presumably). also you can visibly see not only in the speedpaint but also in the final product where I just gave up lol. in this case, it's Dean's left arm and also his eyes and general expression; he looks annoyed that there's an audience watching him maybe but that wasn't what I was originally gonna give him. normally I'd pause for a bit and come back to the project later but I couldn't really quit in the middle of the speedpaint in my mind so yeah that didn't happen oops

also here are the little wolf-related designs I came up with, featuring a crescent and full moon, a wolf face, a little wolf standing, and a paw print. I did not mean to use them all but they all ended up on there anyway double oops.

the slippers in the art belong to @meowmeowfart6000 as seen in these pictures. I said a while ago that I was gonna steal them for some art thing at some point and that day is today apparently. and yes Cas absolutely needed the lone slipper guys nobody can match his autistic swag

I harassed poor @appleisoffline about what the theme of the pajamas should be (they just said 'wolves' and I went a bit overboard oops) and the colors (a few were suggested and I went with the navy blue + cream), and the background ('sunset-y'). apple of course had no idea what they were approving or what I was doing because I didn't provide any details about what I was even drawing yayy

also Clipchamp was the goat for this one as far as piecing together 6 hand + 6 phone screen clips and adding thee song of all time Coconut Mall as the background music (which is why the segments are a bit choppy and not perfectly aligned; also the fact that the handcam timed out a couple of times but I didn't realize at first. I tried my best to have it so the handcam and the screen were synced but they were not recorded in sync so uh I did mess it up a bit. an attempt was made I assure you). it was recommended I should aim for 3ish minutes so this thing is at 60x or 6000% sped up so sorry if it destroys anyone's sense of time or consciousness. I lowkey got a little dizzy or something while watching it but I am weird. 3 hours to 3 minutes is till nothing to sneeze at though

here's the whole process, from start to finish. I usually order stuff a bit better but idk this set up feels fine I think, like said baby bird going from just a pencil sketch to a fully (crayon) colored drawing. as a side note sorry if this is a bit disappointing lol I don't do traditional art all that often. I actually came up with the idea a couple of weeks ago and sketched everything all out, but the original hypothetically digital version would've just been that ugly bald baby bird!Cas choking on a singular McDonalds french fry and looking generally pathetic, but then I also wanted to sketch an actually recognizably barn swallow-flavored version as an adult and well

oops. two full pages of doodles forever immortalized in my mini notebook now ig, crammed between genetics notes and ochem chair structure diagrams. such is the life of a student ig

here are two versions of nearly the same thing: the original that I made too low in the frame and didn't notice until I was 8 layers deep in work and too lazy to fix it, and the version I moved up to center the room (but it looks kinda weird to me and idk why, probably the way that I did it by combining the layers into one and moving everything then pasting them back in and yeah idk it's a mess)

but anyway yeah I went with a more simple animal crossing villager sort of style here, with all the characters as various animals (featuring viscacha Cas, wolverine Dean, dog Sam, cougar Jody, and lynx Donna). the additional characters not at the tables are the two workers in Gas-N-Sip style vests: Tyler the opossum mopping the floors (@honeykrak3n's OC; she also let me bounce ideas around and also helped me come up with Jody and Donna's species as well as telling me it is indeed called an isometric room and not a 'floating cube room scene' which would've been helpful when looking up guides to draw it...) and ofc the bull terrier at the counter is Demetrius' own OC for the vibes (looking very stressed in the job but who wouldn't be with 5 hunters in their place of employment). fun fact but the plates of food with the exception of Donna's milkshake were last minute additions because the tables looked too empty, so please accept Dean and Cas eating pies and Sam with a salad (Jody has a burger but her body is blocking everything but the plate so pretend she finished it already ig). this started out as a 2D Burger King sketch (+ a crown or two) but became a 3D weird cubical diner I hope you're happy ghkjgddk

here's the scene with a transparent background, aka the reason I adjusted the cube in the first place lol. I really have no idea what I was doing with the shading but idk don't really hate it. might revisit this style in the future, likely with more tiny animal spn characters
