Relationships in college Although it is a given that some type of serious relationship in college is a challenge (to say none the less), but not necessarily because both parties gain interested in other people. It is not until you bring your high school relationship into college where you begin to realize whether you are in love with the person or the idea of the person. If you would have told me in September that my relationship that I swore had was built from molds of clay crafted by God would be enduring the hardships and trials that it has over the last several months I would have never believed you. Every problem just seemed to have the simple answer of coming to some common middle ground and that was that, but now, it just seems like every problem leaves me hurting and wanting to be alone. It just seems like we're in two different places and it hurts because at one point this person was not only my boyfriend but my best friend. I have lots of love for him and he has lots of love for me, but is that really enough to keep a relationship going? Especially if there's a strong chance that we are going to break up in a year or so? Why continue to fall deeper in love when the inevitable end is a break up? I've already had a hard enough time cutting the strings and attachments to someone I loved not even 1/25th of much I love my current boyfriend, so imagine how much harder of a time it will be to cut the strings and attachments then. Love at young ages such, I hate it.
