Hello! I’m here to share the analysis and creative thought process behind this drawing of mine. I apologize in advance for any grammatical mistakes.
1 –A pretty face, a rotten soul - An exposed heart surrounded by thorns and flowers.This symbolizes vulnerability — Sol is offering his heart to Eliza (my OC), but in his own twisted way. The flowers represent his deceptive beauty, while the thorns are the only sign of his obsessive and toxic love.
The axe in his hands references the first bad ending of the game and how far Sol would go to gain her heart and attention, even if it means doing so through violence and pain. He doesn’t care about the means, as long as he can have her for himself.
(This is based on my version of the story and oc.) His face is contorted in a bitter expression — envy. Envy for knowing that no matter how hard he tries, he will never have Eliza’s true love and affection. After all, she doesn't truly care for him — it’s all an act, a performance meant only to keep him away from Crowe.
His exposed entrails and maggots devouring his body symbolize how rotten he truly is inside, despite the deceiving facade. His soul is rotten and decaying.
2- His knight in shining armor – In the image, her face is divided into two expressions: one half is looking directly at Crowe with love and adoration, while the other half is eternally frozen in sadness and pain from having her soulmate taken from her. Once again, her efforts weren’t enough to keep him alive and safe.
Her throat is bound by thorns, symbolizing emotional imprisonment and repressed trauma.
Her chest has been pierced by an arrow, once again referencing the bad ending of the game. Right beside it, we can see brugmansias flowers attached to the arrows—a reference to the close relationship between Solivan and Hyugo.
Solivan’s hand is bloodied and tightly gripping her hips, representing possessiveness, SA, and his involvement in her death. He doesn’t want to let her go.
Her hand is reaching out toward Crowe’s face, but remains just far enough not to fully touch him.
Her arms are wrapped in thorns, symbolizing the control Solivan holds over her due to the contract between them, and an old hot oil burn—a deep trauma from her childhood.
3- The lover – The entire drawing is cast in colors of blue and purple—colors historically associated with royalty—symbolizing the high status attributed to him in the game.
The thorns around his neck represent unspoken words, silent pain, and suffering endured in silence. The brugmansias flowers symbolize the one responsible for his death: Solivan.
Blood stained white wings stretch behind him, the remnants of a purity broken. To Eliza, he is a divine figure—her god, her savior, the fragile light that keeps her soul from fading. His delicate, ruffled clothing stands in stark contrast to the violent and premature nature of his death.
His expression is calm, almost resigned, as if he has accepted his fate and pain with quiet dignity.
And in his hands lies a single purple flower—symbol of the mutual love he shares with Eliza. His arms reach out to her, yet falter halfway, forever frozen in a gesture of affection—an act of love undone by death.
