Gods of the Sky

Trees, rocks, humans deserving of a good wacking, Roman, jabbing annoyedly at animals getting too snippy at his presence when passing through their territory (never actually wacking, animals dont deserve to be hurt, they dont know any better and thus just get nudged and shooed at with it when being aggressive towards Remus)

The idea is nice. ^^ however, i feel like it’d be more fitting for Logan, Remus, or even Emile? Logan, god of knowledge, Remus, god of Earth, Emile, God of humanity, all of them are more likely to come into contact with instruments, let alone learn how to play them? Virgil is very intruiged by instruments though, as music is a favorite of his. I can see him spending time around someone, be it god or human, playing a koto, sitting in awe as they play as its a completely foreign but brilliantly complicated skill to watch in action. :)

So. Instead, now that I have the full main line-up, i’ve started planning out their festival outfits as well! xD

I’ll try to update when I can, but i’m bound to have some periods of silence as I try to work through stuff in life and my collective of creative projects ^^;

Cue Virgil laughing and chasing Remus around with his own mace staff, threatening to wack the wild earth god with it while said gremlin of a god is cackling. Roman is also laughing but also watching them adoringly bc he loves his chaotic family. He gets a good wack w/ a pillow in on remus when his bro isnt expecting it, and more cackling laughter follows.

Well, not at first? It was about two or three days into Virgil’s disappearance when Remus realized he hadn’t seen Virgil in a while, and Dee had seen Virgil the day just before it happened, and so was only concerned when Remus came to see him, seeking out Virgil and not finding him with Dee. On the fifth day they spent hours search for him but, that night was the night The sky gods were dropped into their 3 day long slumber. And well. It’s a bit complicated, but in a way, as brothers, Roman and Remus are connected. When Roman dropped, Remus felt it. And then Remus himself fell unconcious, as his connection to Roman is that strong that without Roman, Remus cant fully function, and without Remus, Roman can’t fully function. And, y’know how I said Dee isn’t as fast as Remus and Virgil? Yeah, well, Remus falling unconcious meant he had to carry Remus(a difficult feat bc Remus is a buff Tol and Dee is only partially godly) to the nearest stables to get a horse to ride. Bc Remus has god-speed, Dee has human-speed. By the time they made it to the temple, Virgil had already sacraficed himself and been reborn and was now just beginning his long rest, leaving Remus to groggily wake up around the same time Roman did and be far too tired to run Dee the rest of the way there.

Absolutely. The somftest in love prinxiety ever once both of them are on the same page and working towards a healthy life together. Theyre not perfect, everyone has their good days and bad days, but. In the end, they will have learned how to work together to solve their issues and ask for help. And a hug, if one so needs it.(they often do.)

Yeup! Definately. Like, he definately ships them but like, they have alot to work through, both on their own and with each other, so he refrains from teasing either one abt it until they’re already in a stable relationship bc at that point he’s allowed to be the gremlin of a brother he is. (He’s careful about what he says when bringing up their past tho, cuz thats mostky a no-go zone when it comes to teasing banter)

There is a line between a healthy amount of guilt over a set of mistakes you made and are working to fix, and an unhealthy amount of guilt that overshadows the growth of changing and learning from your mistakes and instead barrels right into self-destruction. You can probably guess where Roman ended up standing for a good while before being slowly tugged back over the line.

Mmm probably a little?? But like, Remus doesn’t hide the fact that in granting Virgil sentience, he sees virgil more as a newborn deer or sibling to protect rather than as any kind of love interest, and besides, only Dee has Remus’s romantic attention and Remus is p obvious about it. So thankfully it never really causes any longterm problems or arguments or anything, but Roman is hust sorta lowkey jealous that Virgil and Remus can talk to eachother w/ ease while Roman struggles to keep that ease with Virgil. He knows why there is that struggle, he knows why there was no ease at the start of his and Virgil’s reforming relationship, and knows that its his fault it is that way. He also knows that he’s working to fix his mistakes, and is letting Virgil set the pace and decide if hes worthy of forgiveness, and he knows that in time the ease will come, and it does, it just hurts him to remember that he himself was the cause of his lovely Moon’s hurt and distrust. Any jealousy Roman ever feels over Virgil is shortlived, stamped out by his own pain and guilt, bc Virgil’s decisions and needs and wants matter more to Roman than his own.

Exactly! Roman is a dramatic love-struck fool for all of like, 6 months+ or smth before Virgil finally brings it up in A Loving New Beginning and his heart goes Zoom.

And as for seeing each other often, yes! Remus and Dee have a much easier time seeing Virgil often bc he’s really easy to find now that hes not consistantly roaming the globe. Its probably just as often that Virgil is on an outing w/ the other gods as he is w/ Remus and Dee to meet new animals/see nature and listen to Dee’s newest tales/make their own and stargaze at length. They also come visit the sky gods’ temple when they can, Dee moreso than Remus due to Remus’s never ending duties, and spend time as a group together.

Yeup! Remus, once he finds out, spends like a few hours talking to Roman about it. Things get a little heated at some points but like, Remus can already see how badly his brother is beating himself up over it, so he spends more energy on convincing Roman to work on asking for help, and to work on being concious about his decisions and the consequences of his actions. He also touches on being self-centered vs being self-concious and all that but its more of a personal touch that he wanted to put on the convo to really get through to Roman. They’re relationship as brothers can be a bit unsteady at times, but theres no doubt that they both care about each other and want the best for one another. And sometimes getting there involves calling your brother a bit of a dumbass, lovingly, to his face.
