[  timothee chalamet  &  they/he &  gender neutral  ]  :  my  oh  my,  is  that  GODRIC OF GAUL  in  bon  temps  ?  what  the  hell  are  they  up  to  hanging  around  BON TEMPS CEMETERY  listening  to  REQUIEM  IN  D  MINOR  /  VIII  LACRIMOSA  by  MOZART  when  they  should  be  doing  whatever  a  VAMPIRE  SHERIFF does  ?  between  you  and  i,  the  2092  year  old  VAMPIRE  is  avoided  for  acting  SYMPATHETIC TOWARDS HUMANS  but  whenever  they  let  their  WISE  side  shine  through  people  flock  to  them.  i  guess  they're  in  town  because  HE'S  INTRIGUED  BY  THE  FELLOWSHIP  OF  THE  SUN.  explains  some  of  it,  though  i  can't  help  but  wonder  if  there's  more  to  a  BABY  FACED  VAMPIRE  meets  WISE  AND  WILLING  SACRIFICE story.

NO  ONE  CAN  SHUT  UP  IN  THIS  TOWN.    lafayette  had  been  used  to  people  being  loud.    they  were  a  cook,    dealer,    and  sex  worker  so  they  understood  the  needs  of  others.    yet  with  the  recent  turn  of  events  it  was  like  the  ghosts  around  them  had  multiplied.    there  wasn’t  just  one  ghost  or  two  following  someone  or  in  a  home.    dozens  walked  the  street  tailing  monsters  and  humans  alike.    his  own  house  was  a  rave  because  of  the  amount  of  undead  that  kept  him  up.  

lafayette  didn’t  know  when  they  got  the  great  idea  to  go  into  the  forest  for  some  damn  peace  and  quiet.    with  a  blunt  rolled  up  and  a  couple  of  other  things  stashed  in  their  bag,    they  headed  out  to  try  and  get  some  distance.    people  could  tell  they  weren’t  at  their  best  when  they  weren’t  wearing  a  full  face  of  makeup.    instead  of  being  alone,    they  were  met  with  a  gruesome  scene,    a  fanger  in  the  middle  of  it  all,  and  the  ghost  of  every  single  victim  standing  around  their  bodies.    “  oh  for  fuck’s  sake.  ”    lafayette  turned  their  head  up  to  the  sky.    “  y’know,    when  i  told  you  i  wanted  to  see  other  people  i  did  not  think  you  were  going  to  send  the  plague  my  way  and  more  spirits  than  the  gays  on  fire  island  during  pride  month.  ”    the  person  crying  did  make  things  different.    “  hey  godzilla,  want  a  hit?  ”    lafayette  walked  closer  while  offering  their  blunt.    “  no  funny  business  either,    i  carry  stakes  with  me.  ”  

          “  i know.  ”     hands clasped before her, davina muttered the words even though she didn’t even tilt her head up to look at the other.  how does she know?  well, right now, she couldn’t imagine someone possibly being of harm more than  the witch herself.  with her powers even more unstable than ever lately, she’s at loss of what to do, scared out of her mind that the hallucinations on top of it all will make her  hurt  someone.     “  it’s not me who you should be worried about…  ”     she said, finally letting her gaze meet the other’s.     “  it’s all just so  UNSTABLE.  ”

𝚆𝙷𝙸𝙻𝙴  𝙶𝙾𝙳𝚁𝙸𝙲  𝙸𝚂  𝙰𝚆𝙰𝚁𝙴  𝚃𝙷𝙰𝚃  𝚃𝙷𝙸𝚂  could  be  a  trap,  he  pities  the  girl  more  than  he  cares  for  his  own  wellbeing.   he’s  old;  if  he  dies  for  caring  for  another,  that  would  be  an  honourable  way  to  go.  a  way  he  wouldn’t  quite  mind...  if  only  his  people  would  see  it  as  poetically  as  him.  no,  they’d  want  vengeance.  godric  sighs  softly  as  he  watches  the  other,  and  it’s  in  moments  like  these  that  he  forgets  just  how  young  he  appears.  “ if  you  mean  that  i  should  be  afraid  of  you,  i  can  assure  you  i’m  not, ”  he  says  softly,  approaching  the  girl  gently.  carefully.  as  if  to  show  that  he  truly  means  no  harm.  a  few  feet  away  from  the  other  now,  there  is  warmth  in  the  vampire’s  cold  eyes  as  he  asks,  “ what’s  wrong,  child?  i  am  very  old,  you  know, ”  he  almost  jokes,  smiling  softly  at  the  other  as  he  takes  a  seat  next  to  her.  “ perhaps  i  could  be  of  service. ”

“    𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇  𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃  𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓,    forgive  me,    but  i  don’t  trust  a  single  word  coming  out  of  your  mouth.    ”      the  girl’s  grip  tightened  on  emma’s  forearm  at  the  closing  proximity,    stealing  her  attention  from  the  vampire  for  a  moment.      “    stop.    you’re  good  right  there.    we  don’t  need  your  help.    ”

The unknown terrifies her, but most importantly it awakens her. Some part of her that sizzles and ignites, a static in the air as she gathers her thoughts and tries to focus through the haze of whatever illness has gripped her. That’s what it has to be, right? Just a common cold. Just a flu. No form of horror in the underlying meaning of her sudden headache. She had tried to go for a run just to get the blood pumping and heartbeat back to the regular point of activity, but it kept fluctuating between rapid growth and a dead halt. She slows to a walk as she approaches another figure on the sidewalk, except the bloodstain on their clothes causes a full stop to her steps. The fear twists the stomach and it feeds off of her breath, making them shallow and hesitant. ‘Wh -[…]whose blood is that?’ A garbled out question, ridiculous of her to become rooted to the spot when she knows better than to tempt fate. The thick scent of blood barging through her nostrils, a palm slipping over her mouth to cover her dry heave. A shaky leg leads her backwards, drags the frightened look of morbid amazement in her expression with her. ‘Stay back! I’ll[…]I’ll call the police!’ Panic surging into her muscles, makes them stiff and jerky as they scramble for her phone in her sweater’s pocket. ‘Who did you hurt?!’

𝙶𝙾𝙳𝚁𝙸𝙲  𝙼𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃  𝙷𝙰𝚅𝙴  𝚂𝙸𝙶𝙷𝙴𝙳  𝙰𝚃  𝙷𝙴𝚁  𝙵𝙴𝙰𝚁  a  few  decades  ago;  he  has  seen  people  scream  for  help  or  react  with  fear  towards  him  far  too  many  times.  the  noise  that  slips  from  him  is  merely  a  soft  inhale  outwards,  less  exasperation  and  more  disappointment  that  he  is  once  more  unsurprised  by  humanity’s  instinct.   they  suppose  that  they  can’t  blame  her,  but  for  once  they’d  like  for  things  to  play  out  differently.

         HER  HEART  IS  STUCK  IN  HER  THROAT.  every  human  instinct  told  her  to  run, but  with  each  urge  it  was  only  greeted  with  the  slayer’s  animalistic  need  to  stay  ⸻  subconsciously  looking  for  a  violent  release  the  same  way  a  vampire  searches  for  blood.  but  buffy  was  no  veteran;  she  was  a  girl,  terrified  and  unprepared. she’d  hadn’t  seen  that  much  chaos  since  the  beginning.  when  the  supernatural  was  still  a  myth  and  only  haunted  her  dreams  (  a  warning  about  the  truth,  red  flags  buffy  ignored  for  too  long  ).  it  was  the  silence  after  the  noise  that  frightened  her  most,  alone  in  the  woods  with  someone  else’s  blood  staining  her  cold  skin.

there’s  no  running  from  your  abilities,  hair  standing  on  the  back  of  her  neck.  the  echo  of  grief  alerted  buffy  first  before  the  fleeting  sense  something  undead  was  nearby. “  hello  ??  ”  she  cries  out,  vulnerable,  nothing  but  a  dainty  cross  resting  on  her  chest  protecting  her.  wide  hues  laid  upon  the  sight  of  the  bodies,  her  foot  instantly  backtracking  to  avoid  touching  anything.  she  can’t  breathe,  but  forces  the  will  to  exhale.  buffy  moves  closer  to  the  middle  and  the  only  other  figure  moving. “   hey,  hey  ⸻  it’s  okay,   ”  buffy  tries  to  delicately  announce  her  presence,  “   it’ll  be  okay,  we’ve  gotta  move  somewhere  safe.   ”

who  were  you  trying  to  convince  ?

𝙶𝙾𝙳𝚁𝙸𝙲’𝚂  𝙾𝚆𝙽  𝚅𝙸𝙾𝙻𝙴𝙽𝚃  𝚁𝙴𝙻𝙴𝙰𝚂𝙴  𝙻𝙸𝙴𝚂  before  him  and  he  cannot  help  but  mourn  for  those  who  are  lost:   those  whose  names  he  does  not  know  and  cannot  recall  and  whose  screams  are  the  only  thing  he  remembers.   they  echo  in  the  vampire’s  mind  as  buffy  speaks,   so  much  so  that  her  presence  takes  the  ancient  by  surprise.   the  vampire  groans  in  grief,   in  pain,  doubling  over  and  lowering  his  head  to  the  forest  floor.

It had not been a good time. Before he’d known it, his brained had been forcibly fucked by some invisible force. And for a moment—for the first time in millennia—, the vampire had felt vulnerable and helpless. The wrath and impotence that coursed within him were flammable. To top it off, he seemed to be plagued by apparitions that just soured his mood further. Thankfully, his human entourage had returned just in time after their werewolf leader had collapse while walking Russell’s horse. If not, Russell was unsure what the humans would’ve done after hearing someone from the Fellowship of the Sun whisper: we should do them in now. 

A familiar scent caught his attention, but the scent of fresh blood that clung to it confused him. As none other than reborn Godric came into view, Russell watched in shameless confusion. “This night keeps getting worst…” he mumbled to himself before redirecting his gaze to Godric. “Did I just miss you going berserk? You should’ve called, Godric, dear.”

𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙲  𝙱𝚄𝚉𝚉𝙴𝚂  𝙰𝙱𝙾𝚄𝚃  𝙸𝙽  𝙶𝙾𝙳𝚁𝙸𝙲’𝚂  𝙴𝙰𝚁𝚂,   but  as  they  quickly  come  to  realise  that  russell  is  really  and  truly  right  there  in  front  of  them,   it  slowly  starts  to  fade.   regardless,   godric  still  doesn’t  feel  right,   and  despite  the  fact  that  they've  been  able  to  trust  their  senses  well  enough  in  the  past,  they  keep  their  guard  up.   “ russell, ”   godric  speaks,   his  voice  a  little  more  here  this  time.   less  vacant.   of  course,  he  ignores  all  of  russell’s  pizazz.    “ you’re  here. ”

𝐈𝐓𝐒  𝐈𝐍  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐖𝐀𝐘  𝐒𝐇𝐄  𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐄𝐃.    soft  sole  of  bare  feet  crunch  against  the  leafy  terrain,    the  little  black  dress  of  the  party  now  dirtied  and  tattered,    a  remnant  of  the  gown  it  once  was.    seemed  like  company  had  too  chosen  the  usually  deserted  woods  as  hunting  grounds:    vampires,    after  all,    needed  to  eat.    juliet  was  no  vampire.    the  hunt  was  a  sport,    a  game  to  the  hellhound.    a  game  she  always  won,    and  the  mutilated  bodies  a  few  clicks  away  were  the  prize  won.    souls  of  the  innocents  screamed,    cried,    begged,    as  the  earth  opened  beneath  them  and  dragged  them  into  the  flames  of  damned  eternity.

one  could  see  the  hound  deep  within  the  brown  windows  of  her  eyes,    red  bleeding  over  them,    as  it  thrashed  freely.    threatened  to  rip  the  flesh  suit  juliet  built  for  the  second  time  that  night.    vicious,    it  is  damned,    ugly,    contrasting  the  beauty  of  the  woman  she  pretended  to  be.      “    they  can’t  hear  you.    ”      a  second  too  late,    perhaps  she  could’ve  claimed  more.    fill  the  ever  growing  prison  of  hell  with  righteous  souls.      “    poor  thing.    feeling  guilty,    are  we?    ”

𝙶𝙾𝙳𝚁𝙸𝙲’𝚂  𝙶𝙰𝚉𝙴  𝙵𝙸𝙽𝙳𝚂  𝚃𝙷𝙴  𝙾𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚁  𝙱𝚄𝚃  the  movement  takes  up  all  his  effort,   all  his  might,   for  it  feels  like  gravity  only  serves  to  exist  them  in  that  moment  and  its  sole  purpose  is  to  pull  them  down,  down,  down.    their  whole  body  feels  heavy  and  so  does  his  heart.     silently,    godric  doubles  over,   half  wondering  whether  the  voice  and  the  person  it  belongs  to  is  just  a  figment  of  his  imagination.    is  this  it,   then?   has  he  finally  lost  his  mind?    godric  doesn’t  recognise  the  person  before  him,    but  that’s  the  worst  part:   he  could  very  well  have  known  this  woman,   could  have  loved  her,    and  yet  so  many  of  their  faces  have  faded  into  nothingness.

𝙴𝚁𝙸𝙲’𝚂  𝙷𝚄𝙼𝙰𝙽  𝙼𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃  𝙵𝙴𝙴𝙻  𝙰  𝙻𝙸𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴  𝚁𝙰𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴𝙳  for  a  few  days,   if  only  because  godric  had  glamoured  her  into  letting  him  wait  for  his  progeny  through  the  back...    and  had  felt  so  guilty  for  it  that  he  had  sent  her  off  into  the  clouds  with  beautiful,    blissful  dreams.    this  place,   fangtasia,   intrigues  godric.    it  is  very  much  in  line  with  his  vision  in  a  sense;    a  vision  of  peace  between  vampires  and  humans.    still,   godric  knows  that  it  is  no  more  than  a  feeding  pool  in  truth.   there  is  no  genuine  care  or  concern  for  human  wellfare  here,    only  for  fucking  and  feeding  from  them.

𝙶𝙾𝙳𝚁𝙸𝙲  𝙷𝙰𝙳  𝙲𝙷𝙾𝚂𝙴𝙽  𝙰  𝙱𝙰𝙳  𝚃𝙸𝙼𝙴  𝚃𝙾  arrive  in  bon  temps.    that  noise...    they  have  no  idea  what  it  was,   what  the  origin  of  it  might  have  been,    but  all  they  know  is  that  it  sent  them  into  a  frenzy  like  no  other.   the  once  peaceful  vampire  had  reverted  back  to  the  killer  he  once  was,   savage  and  brutal  and  blood-thirsty...    and  as  the  millenias  old  vampire  comes  to  his  senses—when  the  whispers  of  voices  long  past  and  visions  of  those  he’s failed  come  to  a  sudden  stop—godric  realises  just  what  he’s  done.
