Q: How to start a bio Roleplay
Some quick pointers to keep in mind.Â
When writing your characters donât rush to make it into a deadline. Treat evey character with the same amount of time. Sure some of them donâ need as many details as others, but try to keep them the same length and as interesting.
Create a bio layout so they all match.
Make sure they are all equally as important within the plot of the roleplay, donât make some characters the center of the universe.
Donât just give brief details if you are going to make the bios long and detailed. Really tell the story, make sure you are interested in the character, because if you are writing just to fill a word quota there is a good chance no one will be interested in him.
Make sure to keep all the characters diverse, and donât be afraid to write a character who is not likeable. We all love villains there is a reason Draco became one of the most beloved characters in Harry Potter. Because he was very layered and people were very interested into his story. But not every character needs to have a dramatic background. Some are not as nice because of what they believe in.
Well, bio RPâs are not as difficult as they look and can be quite fun! Itâs my favorite kind, here are some helpful links for your journey. I used my own masterlists links to find ones that were best for a bio RP.

come inside & tear me apart | blaise & pansy
godless1x1:
melancholia1x1.
â because iâve been a burden ? â  she says this like it SHOULD be obvious ,  like heâs somehow playing dense on purpose ,  though sheâs clueless as to what ends it would serve .  pansy blinks at blaise ,  presses her lips together and tips her head to the side to regard him carefully .  he doesnât look like heâs jesting and thereâs still that subtle hint of VULNERABILITY lingering in the expression around his eyes .  the need to reach out becomes so overwhelming that she ends up going for his hand ,  enclosing it in her own .  it feels more intimate than anything the both of them has ever shared .  â i knew dealing with me the past school year had been a complete chore . and i didnât want to bother you more than i already had ,  okay ?  iâm not that thoughtless . â  or selfish ,  not when people she actually cared about were involved .  add that to the fact that sheâs EMBARRASSED about her actions ,  and a part of her resents the fact that heâs seen her at her lowest point .  pansy knows blaise served himself more than anyone else ,  pansy knows blaise kept a firm leash on his emotions .  the way she faltered under the weight of her own ⌠ well ⌠it painted her in a bad light in his eyes  ( she thinks )  and despite her gratitude for the simple truth that heâd always been there to keep her from completely falling apart ,  pansy still canât help but feel BAD .
the look on his face only serves to make her feel WORSE and she is left with no choice but to avert her gaze ,  focusing her sharp green eyes on the wall behind him instead .  she hates how this makes her feel ,  hates the all too familiar ice-cold pang of someone elseâs disappointment directed towards her .  pansy swallows ,  looks down on her lap ,  and takes a deep breath .  â well ,  iâm here now and iâm fine .  you can literally see for yourself .  not a single scratch on me . â her gaze shifts back to him ,  and despite her earlier dismay ,  a small ,  tentative smirk curves up the corners of her mouth .  maybe it was not an appropriate joke to make ,  but she makes it anyway .  â is that you subtly telling me that i shouldâve shown up NAKED ? â  the question was accompanied by a raised eyebrow ,  the smirk growing into a full-blown smile .  pansy pats the space beside her ,  a silent plea for him to keep her company ,  to stay close and keep her WARM .  â iâll stay a bit longer ,  so just ââ donât go anywhere ,  okay ? donât leave . â  for some reason ,  her own request had her flustered ,  but itâs not like she can take her words back and stash them out of his reach ,  itâs not like she can stop the flood of colour spreading from her chest to her neck to her cheeks .  pansy decides to divert his attention instead ,  and as nonchalantly as she can ,  she asks him a question sheâs rather curious about .  â howâs your summer been so far ? â
of all the reasons he has considered in response to her silence, none of them had even remotely resembled this. a burden, as if that were possible. and it should be possible. of course it should be possible. every other human on this earth was little more than a burden to blaise, his own mother included, and he can't fathom why he is so APPALLED by the answer she offers him. she knows him, better than most, and so she knows who he is, how he is, WHAT HE IS. the spectrum of human emotion has little to do with him, both internal and external, but to sit here and try to comprehend a reality where pansy parkinson is only a BURDEN to him is damn near impossible. if he didn't know better ( and he does, he does ), he'd be outright INSULTED. but the truth is that he's been trying so long to give her this exact perception, he has no room to complain.
it's the warmth of her hand clasping around his own that rouses him from these stagnant thoughts, eyes glancing down at entwined digits before he averts them. it is this warmth he seeks, that which he misses, and this is what his mind fixates on despite his inability to form a proper rebuttal. she need not beckon him twice, slender frame moving closer if only so as to get a better GRIP on her hand. he must ensure he doesn't LET GO.  " pansy." another warning, another alarm, and it's all he can do initially. but he has to say something. that can't go unsettled. " you weren't a burden. seriously? we - had a rough year. you had a rough year, and yeah, i'll admit it, you were a pain in the arse." and when he snickers, it is in whole-hearted humor because the irony is caught in his mouth like a fish hook. he'd broken too, many a time over her, but if a tree falls in the middle of the forest with no one around, does it even make a sound? " but that's your thing. keeps me on my toes, but tha's it. you're not a bloody burden. that's ridiculous." and he doesn't know if she believes him, and he isn't sure that it matters, and he cares but not enough because she's right. she's here, and she's well. but he makes a show of inspecting her for good measure.Â
heâs caught off guard by her retort, heart skipping SEVERAL beats as he nearly tips sideways off the bed. smooth as he is, he is NEVER prepared for pansy. he attempts to regain composure, and it comes in the form of a boy he plays for everyone else. and itâs pathetic. " like i said, i wouldn't mind. although that runs a risk of someone else having a peek, and i donât much like sharinâ my fun." the response spills from his lips before he knows what to do with it, and he should not be appalled, but he clears his throat and allows his features to melt into one of practiced indifference regardless. he can't talk to her like he would any other girl because she ISN'T any other girl, and although it is not a lie, it should not be regarded as the truth. the things this girl does to him though!!! the things she turns him into!!! he's alarmed. he should be.
pushing forth, he clears his throat once more, focusing his gaze on their hands, his thumb running along her knuckles as he manages a raspy laugh. " i dunno where i'd go. i live here, remember? and i won't be run out by the likes o' you." his smile brightens if only to entice hers, looking up again to gather some SEMBLANCE of dignity, but he's a mess. he doesn't know what to do, but he wants to pull her close and back away all at once. how do they do this? how does this end? " it's been - just another summer, y' know. it's always a weddin' or a funeral, ain't it?" this year, it's the latter. he is to blame. he squeezes her fingers without thought, shifting just an inch closer. " pretty quiet though really. nothing exciting." nothing he'd like to get into now when he's at last found some PEACE. " didn't have much to do. and yours? well, i suppose considering your good health. " and he wants to leave it there, but an inquiry lingers, and he knows it's best to ask it and get it out of the way. " have you - heard from - well, anyone else? from school lately? "
come inside & tear me apart | blaise & pansy
she opens her mouth to say something ,  anything  ââ a witty remark to cover up the fact that sheâd been disarmed by his words ,  thoroughly caught off guard by the sincerity in his voice ,  a nonchalant retort so she can pretend there isnât a riot of butterflies in her stomach , making her feel light-headed and nauseous but not in an entirely unpleasant way ,  only nothing came .  sheâs forced to clamp her mouth shut and concentrate on her breathing ,  the pattern of which has started to become halting and  uneven .  pansy knows this is unfamiliar ground they are treading and she has to be CAREFUL ,  but she wants to be reckless too .  she wants to be brave .  the only problem is she doesnât know what he wants ,  and a part of her is scared to even guess .  what if they want the same thing ?  more importantly ,  what if they donât ?  what then ?
but his hand taking hers feels like an answer to her unasked questions ,  and she lets herself be pulled into his orbit ,  pliant like clay .  she knows ,  sheâs well aware he can break her easily ,  burn her to the ground until sheâs nothing but ashes being swept away into oblivion .  she knows he has knowledge of her enough to do that ,  and maybe she should be cautious instead of reckless ,  but the fact that heâs guarded her secrets ,  had never looked at her like sheâs LESS for having weaknesses ââ somehow ,  to her ,  to a girl who had been hungry her entire life ,  somehow that was EVERYTHING .  she nods her head ,  curls bobbing around the frame of her face ,  and decided that sheâll stay .  not because itâs late ,  or any other polite ,  proper reason ,  but because she wants to .  there was nowhere else sheâd rather be at that moment but with him .  âi wouldâve written ,  itâs just that âââ  nothing she wants to tell him can be condensed in a letter .  âi didnât really know if i could fit everything in a parchment or even two .  and i⌠well ,  after last year ,  i thought you might need a break from me .â  this prompts a smile ,  sardonic and shy at the same time .  it melts away as she blanches at his next words ,  turning deathly white until colour starts to climb the pale column of her throat .  âblaise .  if i wanted to seduce you ,  iâd have worn something ⌠tighter .â  her cheeks were stained pink , her breath coming in in stuttering gasps , and in an attempt to regain some dignity ,  she detaches from him ,  tucking a stray strand of dark hair behind her ear .  pansy reclaims her spot on his bed ,  tries her best to keep eye contact despite the thud ,  thud ,  thudding of her heart .  âitâs good to see you ,  too .  i shouldâve come sooner .â
part of him, a VERY MINUSCULE part, wishes draco present, if only so that the boy could see how well they move WITHOUT his overbearing presence. if only so that pansy could see where the fault lines lay and who will reach for hand. or who will reach back. the rest of him, the more LOGICAL parts of him, are glad for the silence. those parts of him only wish for courage now. there is nothing more that he can ask for, nothing more he can NEED.
the loss of her warmth in his palm makes him shudder, but he conceals it with the quick and efficient act of moving pillows out of the way and bringing a candle nearer to the scene. he doesn't notice the steaming hot tea appear on his bedside table. he doesn't care to. he is transfixed upon the idea that pansy parkinson has made this journey in the dead of night to see HIM, and not just to speak of another. even if he has already RUINED IT. " why would i need a break? " it's breathless because his surprise is not concentrated in the way that it should be. it is fickle. it is patched. it is not his own. then again, nothing in this room is his own at the moment. all of this belongs to HER.
" i didn't need a break. i NEEDED to know you were alright." i needed to know you missed me. and yet, he eyes her with a pointed look that screams blame and disappointment regardless of him angling his long body towards her, giving her the attention she deserves. ALL OF IT. but that may be the retort. that may be due to the magnet now active in his chest, the heat which presses up against his gut. she has ignited every wick within him. " tighter." he says it more to himself than to her before he tunes back in. " you don't need anything tighter. you don't need anything at all really." the laughter, once again, is an unnecessary accessory, a SHAME. it keeps him from reaching for her again. for now. but he misses it, her warmth. he misses it, and it is RIGHT THERE. " better late than never, i think. you can just - make it up in hours spent, i reckon." his hand raises, his eyes seek out hers, but he does not REACH. not yet. " you'll stay a bit longer is all. we've got much time to catch up on. "

âyou wouldnât answer the door or you wouldnât mind?â sheâs playing, and itâs a dangerous game. pansy doesnât know the rules, doesnât understand the implications of it fully just yet, but heâs with her ââ right here, right now ââ and it makes her feel safe enough to take blind risks. that doesnât mean sheâs not aware of the distance between them, of how his eyes are darting to the next exit route as though he canât get away from her fast enough, and it sinks her spirits down to the silk slippers on her feet. âyou donât ââ you donât have to call for tea, iâŚâ and sheâs staring at the bay window she entered in, wondering what possessed her to think that this is a good idea. this is not a good idea at all, it seems.
even the fact that heâs oddly discomposed by her presence does not go unnoticed, and she knows itâs not her wardrobe choice thatâs setting him on edge. itâs her, and she wonders what it is about her thatâs causing this, and what it means, and will he tell her if she asks? âdonât leave. we ââ we can have tea later, but just⌠just âââ sheâs never been this speechless before, never been this flustered. and it strikes her that this kind of weakness is exactly what she should be better at hiding. maybe she could fool the world, but in this room are the only people who would never buy into any act sheâd attempt to put on. âlook ââ i know itâs late, and this is ââ well, i never should have barged in on you like this ââ so if youâd like me to leaveâŚâ
" i wouldn't mind. " it's a knee-jerk reaction to a much easier question than those flitting through his mind. easy because it's not a choice, easy because he would ALWAYS answer the door. " i don't mind now. " and perhaps, if he were not so consumed by his own nerves, he would notice that she isn't all that calm or composed either. perhaps he would take notice of how UNCERTAIN she looks, of how she keeps glancing back towards the doors, of how he may just need to stop her from RUNNING. well, as soon as he's finished stopping himself.
but maybe it's the vocalization of that uncertainty or the stammer in her words or the regret that shines in her eyes. he doesn't like that, and he moves closer, into her gravity, as he always does at signs of trouble. this too is a knee-jerk reaction. this too is something he cannot combat. he should work on that. " hey, don't worry 'bout that, alright? you don't gotta go off anywhere. it's - late." as if that matters. she'd arrived just fine. he just couldn't imagine her leaving after he's waiting all summer for her, for SOMETHING. with a deep breath to still his mind, he finds some semblance of that strong and impenetrable boy, and he takes her hand, pulling her towards the bed. far away from the door. " i just - didn't expect this is all. maybe a letter sooner or later, but - this." and he laughs, that coy and arrogant laugh as if he knows something she doesn't. he knows NOTHING. " i didn't expect a midnight act of seduction." he regrets it the moment he says it. he never REGRETS. who is this person? who has he become around her? for her? " i'm only jokin'. âi'm - i'm glad you're here. i mean i'm not - it's good to see ya, pansy. i - worried a bit. "

I am famine for you. I am war for you. I want to be apocalyptic, something only the end can see.

come inside & tear me apart | blaise & pansy
the cold wind was nothing to the frozen tundras in her cold heart. she stood there, her nightgown billowing around her feet, her hair swaying with the breeze, and a part of her wished for the door to remain closed, for him to never realize the lengths she went through just to see him tonight, just to find herself in his line of sight, to feel seen and alive and real. she knew she couldnât explain this away, couldnât trivialise the fact that she went all the way from her home to his, no matter her methods, because the simple fact that she attempted the journey would mean so much more than sheâs willing for him ââ or anyone ââ to know. blaise zabini doesnât do friends. heâs made it clear. whatever pansy was to him, it wasnât that, and she doesnât know what it is, how significant she is to him, if she held any meaning for him at all. but sheâs missed him, and she wants to talk, not about draco, not about the war. she just wants to hear his voice. she just wants to sit with him like they used to and feel like herself once more.
the look on his face as he pushes his door open catches her off guard. maybe because sheâs never known him to look vulnerable, but in that split second before heâs put the pieces of this picture theyâre painting together, he looked oddly younger, strangely uncertain, and it makes her feel uncertain too. but heâs already set eyes on her, and itâs too late to turn back from what sheâs started. âtook you long enough,â she says with strained nonchalance as she slips like a ghost past him and into the room. she stops right in the middle with her wandering eyes and frozen hands, taking in every detail until her gaze finds its way back to him. ânothing happened,â she replies quickly, before he gets the chance to think that sheâs only here to bleed her pain all over his floor again. she bites her bottom lip, looking away for a moment, struggling to find the right words. âno⌠i apparated. but i didnât want to go through the front door in âââ pansy gestures at herself, realizing how inappropriate she looked. but there had been no time to think too hard about it, no time to dawdle or she mightâve lost her nerve. âanyway, i brought my broom along, because i wasnât about to climb up your window like a common thief.â she sighs then, turns around and sits herself on his bed. âi had to see you. i donât know, donât ask me why but ââ i just, i had to.â
he has questions. other questions. MORE questions. he doesn't ask them. he watches her sweep into his room, into every niche and crevice in his being, without so much as a need to know. she's here, and she says nothing's happened, and he knows her well enough to know that not asking her why is GOOD ENOUGH. regardless, there remains something missing. HE IS MISSING. perhaps not in the way that summons the entirety of the wizarding world to search him out but in the way that he no longer has his buffer and she no longer has her distraction. it is only them. this is not an atmosphere they are familiar with. it does not belong to them. they may just have to TAKE IT.
" right." he's out of his element, and he knows without offering it much attention that she's caught him at his most VULNERABLE. she's discovered him square in the middle of missing her, his heart yearning for this proximity and yet so much more. or so much less. she's never been here before, not just inside the walls of his home but the walls he's built around himself, walls to keep people like HER out, the few able to COMPROMISE him. as of late, he fears she's the only one. how is he to combat against that? " would you - tea. i'll call down for tea." although he knows the house lives to serve and will do well to heed the call, he looks around as though he's forgotten where the door is. he only allows himself to smile when he takes in her choice of dress. " yeah, i s'pose, but - i doubt anyone would've much minded. mum never answers the door, and - well, i wouldn't." he clears his throat immediately. this is going to get messy. " make yourself comfortable then. you're halfway there."

@melancholia1x1â
he can't recall the first time he'd crawled beneath the large bay window, curling up like some weak little boy in hopes of hearing zeus at his window, carrying a letter or a package or even just a few ruffled feathers so that he would KNOW she's alive and well. this hope is such a fragile thing. he also hopes that letter never comes. he knows what he will find. he knows what will find him.
this night offers no warning of divergence. he has dinner with his silent mother before she returns to an empty bed chamber to cry herself to sleep. he stands under the scorching hot spray of a shower until his skin is a raw red tint. he allows the family house elf to laden his bedside table with pie and warm milk. and he writes another letter he will never send. nothing has changed. certainly not the cynic.
he's only just dozed off when he jolts awake, the echo of glass ringing in his ears. he can't be sure what is real and what isn't, and so he doesn't move right away. to give himself hope is to call himself weak, and he refuses to kneel down now. and yet, it doesn't falter. he hears it, again and again, whether glass or ghost. and when he rolls onto his feet and steps in front of the door, he finds himself overwhelmed with UNCERTAINTY.
he's hallucinating. he must be. why else would she be standing here, so simple and yet so eager, so calm and yet so nervous. and he thinks he must be hallucinating. why would pansy fly anywhere for him? then he thinks, he can't be. and something must have happened. he's going to pick up the pieces. he knows that. he's always known that.
pushing open the door with slow and deliberate movements, he finds that the chill air and the lack of partition takes its breath away. or perhaps it's just that he realizes she is REAL. either way, he's lost for what to say. instead, he steps aside and admits her. he only speaks when he's sure he must.
" what's happened?" is he dead? " did you - fly here? "

@machiiavelliian sent: Â â five times my muse has thought about yours, and the one time they do something about it.
one.
the first time it happens, she was thirteen years old. there was nothing accidental about it, just like there was nothing accidental about her. she was a collection of broken parts made to work like a machine ââ a walking, talking, monstrosity of a girl with chaos in her eyes and control wrapped deftly within the slender fingers of her shaking hands. he notices the cracks in her lacquered armour with alarming accuracy, spots the fissures snaking through her carapace like it was obvious, and it irritates her because no matter how hard she looks, she can never seem to spot his. there was a palpable absence of equilibrium where both of them were concerned, and she wonders how and why, of all the snakes sheâs surrounded by, heâs the only one who makes her feel like she always has to compensate for something. heâd always seemed so composed to her, so regal and oddly distant, and pansy wonders, as they sat around a table at the malfoyâs garden, what would happen to the girl who falls in-love with those dark, dark eyes.
two.
it was the eve of the yule ball. sheâd agreed to go with draco days prior because it was the absolute right thing to do ââ the king with his queen hanging onto the loop of his arms. the dress her mother sent was horrendous and her haircut did not leave much room for experimentation, but her eyes were lined with contradictions and her lips were curved into a smile and the evening held promises she couldnât wait to unlock. the night was beautiful and draco looked dashing, more so than usual, and she didnât care if the crowdâs attention were on granger or potter or weasely as long as those grey eyes were on her, smiling and laughing like they were the only people in the world who mattered ââ and then she sees him with some girl, some unknown, priorly unimportant non-entity ââ and her smile falls, slips, melts into a frown ââ lips pursed, brows drawn together, and feeling so utterly confused because thereâs a sensation churning in her gut, rising like bile along the column of her throat, acrid and sour and toxic ââ and she doesnât want to name it because she shouldnât be feeling it, not when draco was dancing with her in front of the entire school, twirling her around despite her pink, frilly dress. but it was there, wasnât it? and it was dangerous, and she forces it down with vicious intent so it doesnât resurface to haunt her again, but her efforts were useless, useless, useless. draco notices her inattention, tips her chin so sheâs looking right into his grey eyes ; eyes she could get lost in, eyes she knows so well, eyes that she loves. âyou okay, pans?â he asks. it takes her a moment to answer. âyeah,â she says, swallowing the funny taste that lingered in her mouth. âiâm fine.â and she is. sheâs fine.
three.
diggory was dead. pansy never knew him, couldnât find it in herself to feel sad or sorry about the entire situation and had no energy to even fake it. there was a tingle of apprehension at the back of her throat but just like every important feeling sheâs ever had, she forces it down, down, down until itâs forgotten or could be utilized for something better. they board the train in grim silence and it makes her sick, this blanket of grief she did not want to participate in, had no intention to be part of. blaise steps in right after her just as ginny weasley exits a compartment close by. pansy watches her with narrowed eyes, only releases her breath when the other girl turns to walk the other way. blaise though ââ he doesnât move. he stands there, eyes trained on the curtain of fiery red hair swinging away like a war banner. and pansy âââ she feels ill all of a sudden. fists clenching and unclenching as she grits her teeth so hard the enamel squeaks. âblaise,â she snaps, and it comes out hard and raw. âcome on. we canât keep everyone waiting.â and she marches away.
four.
the fourth time it happens, they were arguing about draco. he doesnât seem to get how and why she loves him too much, couldnât grasp the fact that she loses control where heâs concerned, control ââ the one thing she so aggressively clings to, couldnât breathe without, left out in the cold because pansy parkinson has a malfunctioning heart so dedicated to one boy and one boy alone. and she sees why it infuriates him, her feelings, her weakness ââ but what she doesnât understand is how, despite the fact that sheâs reduced to a weeping, simpering mess, he couldnât seem to bring himself to leave her side, to abandon her to her vulnerabilities, something he doesnât seem to have. and it stumps her why heâs still there, holding her together, allowing her to cry onto his immaculate robes, when he could go, when he could detach himself from the burden that sheâs become. he doesnât do friends ââ and she knows as much. itâs why sheâd been careful, why she guarded herself around him except for this year, when sheâs completely lost the ability to do that. but goddammit, heâs not leaving. heâs not mocking her for being delicate, for letting her feelings get the best of her when theyâre at war. sure, heâd lectured her, had told her a thousand times to stop asking questions and to get it together, but every time she comes apart, heâs right there, picking up the pieces. WHY? she could ask, but pansy wasnât certain sheâd like to know.
five.
it was the summer right before seventh year. the letters to draco went unanswered, the letters to daphne were becoming more and more frantic. she didnât write blaise any letters, didnât want to inconvenience him over break after sheâd inconvenienced him for a whole year at school. she was ashamed of her actions, of how easily sheâd caved under duress, and how heâd perceived all of that. but she misses him, misses the solidity of his presence, how he seemed to catch her when she wasnât even aware sheâs about to fall. it takes eighteen days before she decides to apparate with her broom to his familyâs manor, in the dead of night, wearing nothing but her robe and her nightgown. it was a split-second decision, an uncalculated move. pansy stares at the window of his bedroom for a long while before she decides to fly to it, deciding to risk this one thing, despite knowing that he could tell her to go and leave him the fuck alone. a warm breeze was blowing in and sheâs covered in gooseflesh before she knows it, but her heart beat steadily and her hands werenât shaking, and she misses him ââ enough that sheâs willing to face embarrassment so she could see him. before she could overthink it further, sheâs hitching her sleeping gown up her legs, straddling her cleansweep five. pansy flies into his balcony, lets her broom fall beneath her and draws her robes tight against her frame. she lifts her knuckles, she takes a deep breath, she squeezes her eyes shut ââ and she knocks.
