Since I’m doing these Flippy ships I figured I’d take a crack at Flippy X Fliqpy which is basically just shipping the poor man with a personification of his ptsd. For my take on the ship (going off what little I know about how others headcanon this ship) I’ve split them into their own bodies. Flippy and Fliqpy met in the military and fought together in the war. What made them such a good team was Flippy’s level headed thinking and strategies while Fliqpy was the one dealing the final blows and rushing in for kills. Flippy himself is rather sweet and soft minded, he’s definitely the more tame of the two and is good at helping others. Fliqpy on the other hand is more reckless and acts without thinking, usually resulting in people or himself getting hurt from his carelessness. He doesn’t really care all too much about the safety of others (with the exception of Flippy) and often gets a sadistic thrill from seeing others hurt or suffering cause of him. He’s very protective of Flippy, hating to be away from him for long periods since he’s very paranoid that the other will get hurt by someone or something. His paranoia is mainly caused from the war and he often has nightmares about Flippy dying without him being there to save him. These two aren’t a perfect couple however (since this is shipping someone with their trauma as well as how they fought in double whammy I’ve made them rather toxic too). Fliqpy isn’t good at showing his affection verbally or through gentle actions of affection so instead he often shows it through rough biting, squeezing onto Flippy and sinking his claws into him while he does so, as well as punching or kicking him. Flippy knows that Fliqpy isn’t good with showing love or compassion so he tries to tolerate it to the best of his abilities though if he tries talking about other ways for Fliqpy to show affection Fliqpy will more than likely get mad and stop showing any sorts of affection or kindness out of pettiness, practically shutting himself off from Flippy entirely. They also often argue about Flippy being with others on his own since Fliqpy tends to be controlling because he’s so paranoid about Flippy getting hurt. He basically assigned himself the role to protect Flippy at all costs back when they were in the military so he takes it to heart even years after. They both still have ptsd episodes though the way they experience them is different. Flippy is more likely to have panic attacks and curl in on himself as a defense mechanism as well as covering his face and ears. He doesn’t get violent unless startled though he’s not nearly as bad as Fliqpy. Fliqpy has bad hallucinations when he’s triggered, seeing anyone as enemy threats instead of friends. He’s hard to calm down without some sort of outlet for him to take his built up anger and stress out since his body basically goes into fight or flight mode when triggered. Fliqpy also has very little self preservation, often getting himself hurt and then hiding it or pretending it’s all okay even if the wound is serious. He mainly does this to not worry Flippy as well as seeing it as a means of making himself more tolerant to pain in the case he needs to fight through being wounded to protect Flippy.
