I made a mod for stardew valley based on dead boy detectives! so far i only have the boys and a few locations, but i've already started working on adding more to it.

if you've never played with mods before, there are instructions on the page for how to install it (it's not too complicated, i promise! if you download from nexus, you do need a free account, or you can download it from my github without an account and just follow the same directions on the nexus page)

i've spent so much time working on this (literally it became a second job lol) and i'm really excited to share :D it would make my day if you guys gave it a try and let me know what you think!

🟣 HALF of queer shows were canceled in 2023 and 2024

you know all of those thinkpieces that have been coming out about how people won't even START shows anymore because they think they're going to be canceled? like a quarter of people in one study said they wait until a show is finished.

we all know streaming services have been dumping good shows like crazy, but it's not because of viewership. it's not because of genre or price.

these shows are gay!! it's because they're fucking gay!

a trans lead is basically a death sentence for a show, even if audiences receive them well. again, it's not because viewers don't like it. someone higher up is cutting queer shows faster because they see them (and queer viewers by extension) as DISPOSABLE.

GLAAD has a whole report about how this isn't a smart business decision. there's no explanation but queerphobia.

the last few years have been a record for book bans, anti-trans bills, and polarized politics. but media exposure is actually proven to reduce bias. and i don't want to think about what happens when folks in isolated places have no positive representation left.

as far as i know, this is the only scholarship like this right now, comparing the rates of cancellation to all shows vs just other queer shows.

The orbs can purr in the same way cats do. Results in a visual vibration and soft sound. They have limited awareness in orb form, so it follows the feelings of safety and comfort.

The gravitate towards each other slightly, not unlike magnets

Often just soft, warm light but can occasionally be in their hero colors: blue for Edwin, red for Charles

The orbs give off warmth, one the dead and living alike can feel
