#oh I guarantee it's underdiagnosed #where I work there isn't even a way to get patients assessed and treated on the NHS anymore #no matter how detailed your referral is and how much you emphasise the impact to a patient's wellbeing you still get a rejection letter from #- the community mental health teams #(and if patient's understandably get desperate and go for a private diagnosis then the NHS will still refuse to treat them and force them to #- pay for their medications out of their own pocket; which many can't afford)#it's just another symptom of chronic underfunding of our mental health services #which is going to have the spiralling effect of worsening patients' mental health further
