LATE  AT  NIGHT      ⦙⦙     for   @choosewar     !        ACCEPTING.

        𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃  ,     as  gabriel  considers  his  answer.    truth  be  told  ,  his  mind  rejects  the  idea  of  a  time  where  he  ever  looked  at  cecily  herondale  and  doubted  being  in  love  with  her.   even  in  that  first  moment ,    which  was  arguably  the  worst  day  of  his  life ,   he  remembers  her   ─────   wild  eyes ,    night  hair.    he  remembers  watching  her  jump  onto  his  demon-father’s  back  ,  reckless and untrained.    lips  smile  into  the  night  sky ,  hating  the  bittersweet  taste  the  memory  leaves  him.      ❝    .  .  .  there  were  perhaps  two.     ❞      𝐀 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐇  ,  curt  yet  amused  ,  as  humid  grass  feels  cold  against  his  back.  

        ❝   i  think  i  fell  in  love  with  you  the  day  i  met  you ,    but  i  only  accepted  it  when  we  walked  the  grimly  streets  of  london  together  ,  looking  for  the  ingredients  to  cure  jem.    ❞    mind  wanders  into  those  streets ,  following  the  memories  and  letting  them  remind  him.    𝐍𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐆𝐈𝐀   almost  lures  him  in   ;   pulls  him  back  into  a  different  time ,  a  different  gabriel.   but ,   the  curious  glimmer  of  violet  blue  eyes  distracts  him.    he  turns  slowly  ,  glad  the  night  makes  his  staring  less  conspicuous.   a  single  corner  of  his  lips  lifts.   ❝   i  found  myself  with  an  urge  for  𝐏𝐎𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐘,  actually.  ❞    .   .  .    &.    considering  how  bad  he  is? 

TESSA NEVER THOUGHT      that there would be a day Gabriel Lightwood required her help.       he was always so certain of himself   ,    not to say full of himself  ,    that the idea seemed quite foolish in her head.         true  ,  he apparently had changed from the young man she used to dislike ——-   a great deal  of dislike  ,  actually  ;   but they were also not particularly close in many spheres.       they were … civil to each other.      carried a few conversations that were needed  ,  and  ,  should she dare to say   ,   also admired one another in secrecy.      though he would never say it to her face  ,  Tessa presumed  ,  as much as she didn’t find a way to express it personally.       seen as much  ,   when he walked into the drawing room in such a nervous state and said those words  ,  she could only blink in disbelief  ——- before emerging with a smile of joy.     𝒽𝑜𝓌 𝒶𝒹𝑜𝓇𝒶𝒷𝓁𝑒  !

❛      of course ,  Mr.Lightwood.        ❜       and you will certainly need help with Will   ——  the warlock placed the book aside by the tea  ,  and raised from the sofa with lack of grace.    she couldn’t exactly predict how her own fianceé would react to it all.          he did not dislike Gabriel  ,    didn’t seem opposed to his relationship with his sister  and…   she bit her lip    ,   deep in thought.     avoiding to talk to him in a room full of blades seemed a good start  ,  especially to avoid a tragedy like the one told in Bridget’s folk song.    grey stare fixated on green.          ❛    I can prepare Will about the subject   ,   maybe ?     in all fairness  ,   I doubt he doesn’t see this coming and —-    ❜        his second question  stopped her on the tracks.

it was so cute !     her giggle was low —— and short lived ,  since there was a constant fear of offending the poor anxious boy.    Tessa sighed ,  walking closer to him in friendly composure ,  completely forgetting the previous read.   she was not an advocate for romance.        in fact  ,  while love was something that never ceased to exist in her heart   ,  her decisions regarding it often brought pain and  distress.    but he had come to her.     and sympathy  ,  as  well as  compassion  ,  emanated from her next words :             ❛    no one knows Cecily’s heart but herself.    ❜               but those blue Herondale eyes always seemed cloudy when Gabriel Lightwood  was near ;      𝓊𝓉𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓁𝓎 𝒾𝓃 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒   ,     drowning in his presence.     to Tessa Gray the answer was… obvious   ,     and because of i  t ,    it was fun to imagine that he ever thought the other girl would ever refuse.         ❛     though in my opinion   ,   considering how she looks at you  ,  I’d say the odds are in your favor.    ❜    

                 the  simple  fact  that   tessa  gray  concurs  that   𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋   seems  to  at  least  predict  this  move  makes  ease  of  some  of  his  concerns ,  and  he  finds  his  eyebrows  untangling  from  the  heavy  furrow  they’d  been  unconsciously  stuck  in.   for  all  his  talk  of  gideon’s  lack  of  tact ,   he  was  no  better.   still ,  he  finds  a  little  comfort  in  her  joy ,  but  there  are  other  parts  that  make  him  .  .  .  𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍.   hands  pull  up  a  chair  so  he  can  sit ,   breathe ,   and  think.   he’s  fought   battles ,  stole  kisses  in  the  cover  of  night ,  killed  numerous  demons    ──────    but  this  seems  to  freeze  his  bones ,  even  if  only  momentarily.    the  odds  are  in  his  favour?    ❝   .  .  .  it  makes  me  feel  better  you  believe  so.   ❞  

                  he  laughs  once ,   conscious  of  his  nerves.   he  liked  the  reassurance  of  someone  familiar.    gideon  and  sophie ,   as  happy  as  they  were ,  had  a  soft  love  ──────   he  doesn’t  think  he  and  cecy  have  that.  .  .  at  all.   sure ,  he  wouldn’t  want  it  any  other  way  ;  but  it’s  certainly  proving  a  challenge.   tessa?   seems  the  wise  man’s  choice ,  for  advice.   ❝   my  brother  is  entirely  useless  on  these  matters ,  and  sophie  had  a  lot  of  suggestions.   she  won’t  stand  a  simple  proposal.   ❞    one  idea  even  involved   𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 .   he  leans  forward ,  arms  partly  crossed ,  to  speak  his  mind.   ❝    if  it  were  you ,  and  you  were  the  erratic  welsh  shadowhunter ,   would  you  think  proposing  near  a  canal  i  once  threw  an  unseelie  creature  into ,  in  order  to  defend  her  honour ,     is  romantic?  ❞

LATE  AT  NIGHT      ⦙⦙     for   @cursedhim​   !         ACCEPTING.

         .   .   .𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐋𝐘?    he  has  none.    what  a  cruel  twist  of  fate ,  that  gabriel  lightwood  will  die  an  untimely  death  at  the  hands  of  henry  branwell.    who  would  have  thought?    green  eyes  flicker  between  will ,   the  half-destroyed  portal ,   and  the  many  documents  that   had  been  inflamed  and  incinerated  by  whatever  he’d  managed  to   explode  in  henry’s  lab.   face  is  still stinging  with  light  burns  ,  clothes  half-ripped ,   as  he  steps  on  one  more  stack  of  papers  ;   putting  out  the  small  flame  that  is  still  ablaze .  .  .   mocking  him.     ❝    .  .  . it  was  henry’s  fault?   ❞      it’s   𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒.    he’s  doomed.    but   then.  .  .   eyes  narrow.      an  excuse? 

  EVERY STEP HE TOOK WITH A BEGRUDGING SLOWNESS ,   as though his joints were metal hinges that weren’t oiled enough to gear themselves for action  —  alike the automatons they’d fought in in the recent past , one might conjecture  —  but how it goaded him , this conversation  &  encounter to be had.   his pride would not falter to the fraction required to be in any way welcoming to the prospect of gabriel’s lofty estimation in cecily’s eyes.  perhaps will deserved it  :  perhaps it was as ironic that gabriel had fallen for the sister of his rival , as it was that will’s initial rejection of tatiana would end in their course landing here.  his skin prickled as he at last crossed the training room to size up gabriel , dissecting his words , and meeting them with an abrupt , mock - offended expression.      ❛   and here i was , complimenting you on your evident maturation.    ❜    he drawls perfunctorily , the smile settling on his lips razor - sharp , as though he’s polished the blade himself in every second passing by before he speaks , and relishes in his own wit , its sure strike.  

    ❛    my sister has a mind of her own.  she’ll not take sides out of loyalty to kin or companion alone  …   you have realized that ,  haven’t you  ?    ❜    will couldn’t see how anybody acquainted with his sister would not immediately be forced to reckon with her spirited temper , her audacity , and her dauntless persistence to pursue what she thought the proper course , regardless of the bonds she might have to another , and how she would fight for them.  he watches gabriel’s blade sink into the wall , pansy eyes glittering , and leans just aside it so that he might provoke the other to aim just a little off his target.      ❛    i make a pastime of being insufferable.  i’ll leave the enjoyment of it to you.   ❜  

  a beat passes , drawn out enough to be uncomfortable.  ❛    on the contrary , lightworm  —    ❜    will clears his throat pointedly , his fist raised to cover his smirk.    ❛    lightwood   —   i have decided to make amends.   it’s only fair that i become amicable with you on cecily’s account , after all.    ❜   this moral fortitude , from which he emerges superior , ought to be enough to stun lightwood’s tongue for a moment  :  let him say child again , though he was only a year older , and see where it gets him  !   everything in will’s demeanor suggests that his intentions are far from the ones he claims  :  and that he absolutely means for gabriel to recognize this.  

  ❛    there will be the family dinners when you come to york in the future , and if you haven’t an inkling of how to speak welsh , it’ll be rather embarrassing for you.  so my thought is this  :  i’ll teach you all the right things to say , and do , so that you’ll resemble yourself a little less , and be all the better for it  —  and the best part is that i’ll do it out of mine own goodness of heart.    ❜

            𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐘  𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒   &   𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄𝐒    might  fool  many ,   but  gabriel  likes  to  think  he’s  above  it.    of  course,   will  herondale  can  still  elicit  an  ungentlemanly  reaction  out  of  him ,  but   sympathy ,   trust?    ──────    fat  chance.    he’s  right  about  cecily  though ,  even  if  completely  illuded  in  believing  that  he  might  stand  a  chance  of  coming  out  of  any  dispute  with  the  moral  high  ground.   perhaps  he  is  a  changed  man.  .  .    but  nothing  could  quite  ever  erase  the  image  of  tatiana’s  young  face,   swollen  with  tears ,  from  his  mind.   sure ,  his  own  sister  might  be  all  things    𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 ,   but  she  wasn’t  always  like  that.    besides,  even  if  she  was,    she’s  still  his  sister.   always  would  be.   ❝    i  realize  it  enough  to  know  that  she  would  probably  love  any  and  all  excuses  to  argue  with  you.   we  may  be  quite  alike ,  in  that  aspect.   ❞     he’d  once  thought  he  and  will  could  be  friends .    does  he  still?    gabriel’s  mind  isn’t  made  up ,  as  long  strides  are  taken  to  collect  the  knives  from  their  mark  ;   despite  the  fact  will’s  taunts  are  certainly  making  it  all  the  more    𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒   that  he  should  have  sharp  blades  at  hand.

              𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐌 .   doesn’t  he  think  it  cruel  to  call  him  the  very  thing  his  father  turned  into ,  and  died  as?   perhaps,  if  it  was  anyone  else,  gabriel  would  demand  a  duel  to  the  death.  but  it’s  will ,  and  the  angel  knows  he’s  said  and  done  far  worse  ──────  he  can  always  choose  to  use  it  against  him  when  the  time  comes.    besides,  he’s  a  little  too  shocked  to  𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐓 ,  for  a  moment.   knife  stays  in  his  hand,  even  though  he’s  at  his  mark  already.    his  reaction,  which  is  limited  to    a  rough  scoff  &  a  half-laugh  scowl ,    is  completely  genuine  ;   even  if  he  had   wanted   to  pretend  to  take  him  seriously ,  the  fact  the  green  glints  with  fascination  clears  him  of  being  guilty  of  any  lies.     ❝     .  .  . that  would  be  a  scandal.   am  i  meant  to  believe  you  have  grown  wings  and  a  halo ,  all  in  the  span  of  a  few  weeks?  ──────  you  are  not   𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒  𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐘 ,  as  much  as  that  would  be  an  improvement.  ❞     that  said ,  he  might  believe  it  if  he  was  inclined  to  trust  it  came  from  tessa.    and,  as  he  throws  a  knife  once  more  so  as  to  not  look  into  the   𝐌𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋   herondale  eyes ,   he  considers  it.     was  it  a  friendly  gesture?

                          𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐄  is too glad for gabriel’s assistance ,   even if it comes accompanied by anger and silent disapproval.   with every minute that dies ,   she relaxes more ,   contracted muscles turning into what feels like gelatin ,   tightened fists easing into an open hand that grips his own.   whatever strength she has left is focused on three things :   the leaning of her body on him ,   the stubborn need to make her legs work again ,   and the act of pretending to be fine.   she wishes for him not to know how deep her wounds truly are ,   how fire consumes the oxygen in her lungs and makes them burn.   𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆.   what gabriel doesn’t know ,   can’t hurt him.    ❝    i shall take your request into consideration.    ❞    dry.   even half - alive ,   you could never rip the humor out of a herondale’s heart.    

                         𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐅 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐄𝐃  frame as the carriage comes into view.   it feels like they’ve been walking for decades ,   arguing about such stupid things.   there’s a dreaded weight on his stare ,   pressing down on her ,   that forces her to once more meet his eyes.   mirth is displaced ,   indignation slithers through her expression.    ❝   and what is that supposed to mean  ?   i am as good as any of   ———    ❞    her feeble protest   (   she’s sure there’s a better comeback sitting on the back of her brain ,   taunting her for she’s unable to think straight   )   is interrupted when he lifts her off the ground.   in another situation she would object   ;   right now  ?   it is comforting to lay on gabriel’s arms ,   no longer needing to support herself.   just this time ,   she’ll let vulnerability infiltrate her ranks.    ❝    𝐈   ———    ❞    were it any of her friends in her place ,   hurt enough to require the assistance of the silent brothers ,   would she be happy  ?   through stubborness she remembers ,   the tale of a girl wishing to stop her brother from riding off into certain death ,   and her cheeks gain that red tint of shame.   she speaks with solemnity next ,   shoulders rolling.   such movement causes rosy lips to grimace in discomfort.    ❝    i would be furious.    ❞        

            perhaps  her  protests  should  go  over  his  head   ──────   they  should ,  considering  how  often  he  hears  them.     yet  he  finds  himself  feeling   𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐓    all  the  same ,   the  stolen  glances  down  at  the  blood  on  her  face  reminding  him  that  he’d  rather  not  be  right.    he’d  much  rather  never  feel  what  he  felt  at  all ,  ever  again ,  not  knowing  where  she  was.    if  she  was  safe?    it  hadn’t  quite  hit  him  what  his  feelings  might  mean ;  the  𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑   they  would  have  over  him.     ❝   you  are  a  shadowhunter ,  and  you’re  excellent.   but  you’re  not  invincible ,  and  sincerely  cecy ?  nobody  wants  another  will.   ❞   hands  grip  the  rough  fabric  of  her  shadowhunter  gear ,  feel  the  heavy  breaths  that  force  their  way  from  her  chest ,   and   the  warmth  radiating  of  her  body  perhaps  a  bit  more  than  he  should.    for  the  moment  though ,  he  lets  it   soothe  him,   let’s  that  be  enough.     she’s  alive ,  after  all. 

                    green  hues   𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 ,   to  the  book  near  her ,   to  the  tea  on  the  table  and  to  anything  else   eyes  can land  on.   hands  clasp  at  his  lower  back ,  as  he  opens  his  mouth  and  closes  it  once ,  before  he   speaks   ──────   the  eerie  ballad  of  bridget’s  distant  singing    not  helping.    ❝    i  would  like  to   𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄  to  cecy.   cecily.   i  would  like  her  to  my  wife.   ❞    he’s  rambling.   gabriel  blames  it  on  nerves.    ❝    i  was  wondering  if  you  could  perhaps  help ,  with  will ?   we’re  not  enemies ,  but  we’re  not  exactly .  .   .   ❞    friends ,  he  wants  to  say ,   but  doesn’t.   gabriel  doesn’t  know  if  they’re  friends  or  enemies ,  but  today  his  mind  is  too  full  to  even   try   to  work  that  out.     besides,   he  suddenly  has  an   𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐄   to  ask  her  something  else   instead ;   something  he  hopes  is   ridiculous.     but ,  if  anyone  had  always  been  brutally   HONEST   to  him ,  it  was    HER.  

                                          𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄 her eyes never dulls ,   not even with the pain or the dizziness that grips her so tightly ,   while they remain connected to gabriel’s.   he is her anchor :   as long as she sees his face ,   and his fingers grip her own ,   the nauseating spinning of the world comes to a halt.   she’s aware of the façade that is the calmness of his notes ,   for worry intertwines with every line of his angular features ,   a brewing storm beneath pale skin.   ❝    quite entertaining.   ❞   she corrects him ,   remnants of her grimace shattering away though humor still lingers on hoarse notes.   ❝    perhaps you and i could try it sometime.    ❞   tiredness slips past her lips.   the hand against her face is warm ,   she can’t help but lean into it seeking for more.   more support ,   more affection ,   more reassurance that things shall be alright   /   those things she dares not say ,   in fear of worrying him too much.        

                                          𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍   (   paired with that disappointed tone   )   that summons a new wave of surprising emotions ,   and how she can feel anything different from the deep ache coursing through her veins lays beyond her.   SHAME.   IRRITATION.   GUILT.   he can’t bear to gaze at her and she mimics him ,   but it proves to be a fatal choice.   the loss of him allows everything to rush in   ——   the weight on his hand increases as she unceremoniously crashes to the floor   (   propriety be damned  !   ) ,   backside landing loudly.   ❝    trust me ,   gabriel   ———   no one knows that more than i do.   what matters is that i am fine.    ❞   unhurt first comes to mind ,   but it is too blatant of a lie.   her voice carries annoyance   ;   aimed at him ,   however the true target is her own self.   she should’ve been better ,   faster ,   then all this could’ve been avoided.   despite his fury ,   she gravitates towards him ,   resting against his frame.   she wishes to disregard the situation ,   make a joke or two that will dismiss her current state :   gabriel would never fall for that.   a sigh escapes weary lungs ,   voice now a mere whisper.   ❝    i am not a fragile little girl.   i am a fully trained shadowhunter ,   and this is what shadowhunters do.   there is always a risk   ———   you of all people should understand that.    ❞             

            he’s  caught  between   𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆   her  and  looking  at  her ,  dead  in  the  eyes.    was  she  serious?   she  sounds  drunken ,  even  if  he  knows  she’s  not.   cecily  has  never  reminded  him  more  of  her  brother   ──────  and  despite  not  liking  it  when  will  does  it ,  he  half  wants  to  forget  his  anger  and  laugh  now  that  it’s  her.   alas,  his   𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓   doesn’t  let  him.  not  when  she’s  clearly  in  pain ,  and  he  could’ve  been  here  to  make  sure  she  wasn’t.   ❝   if  you  are  so  inclined  on  trying  it  with  me ,   perhaps  assure  next  time  you  do  wait.  .  .  .  and ,  maybe ,  don’t  get  yourself  killed  before  we  -  ❞  but  he  stops  instead  of  continuing  the  sentence ,  arms  and  gaze  trying  to  co-ordinate  so  that  he  doesn’t  drag  her  and  instead  actually  carries  her .  in  the  back  of  his  mind ,  he’s  at  least  glad  she’s  close ,     reliant  on  him . 

                               ❝    𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃.    ❞   that’s a lie ,   uttered through gritted teeth.   her lips have taken a sickly color ,   fading into a white so pale it’s almost green ,   and the shade is shared by the skin of her face.   the room taunts her :   it moves and moves and moves around ,   a never stopping ride that increases the thudding inside her head.   HOW BAD IS THE DAMAGE  ?   she surely has a sprained ankle ,   a couple of broken ribs and more than one bruise   ——   add to that the ichor and blood   /   she does not paint a pretty picture.

                              𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐓𝐇 ,   she’s able to raise her eyelids ,   blue gaze sharp in its quest to hide the pain.   it focuses on gabriel ,   on his angular features and worried expression ,   trying   (   and certainly failing  !   )   to act as if the iratze engraved on her arm has brought her more than the mere closing of superficial wounds.   ❝    a few more demons than the usual amount decided to pay us a visit tonight ,   but it was nothing i couldn’t handle.    ❞     by the angel ,   it hurts to talk.   she manages to gift him a confident smirk ,   however it soon turns into a grimace.   ❝    it was quite entertaining ,   actually.    ❞

            his  heart  still  doesn’t  feel  as  if  it’s  quite   returned   to  his  chest ,  and  the  matted  blood  in  her  hair  does  nothing  to  bring  it  back.   hands  touch  her ,  ignoring  all  propriety   in  order  to  regain  some  of  his  sense  back.     how  incredibly  brave   ──────   and  how   𝐔𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐘 𝐈𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 .  the  green  eyes   try  to  assess  her  injuries ,  to  not  focus  on  the  red-tinted  rage  that  is  currently  building.   however ,   gaze  seems  to  need  to  glue  to  hers ,  the  violet  blue   both   reassuring  and  infuriating ,  all  at  once ,  and  accompanying  words  he  can  barely  believe  are  spoken  so  calmly.   ❝   entertaining?   .  .  .  cecily,  you  look  to  be  on  the  brink  of  death  -   ❞    no.   he  refuses  to  contemplate  it.  a  hand  touches  her  face ,  moves  it  slowly.  the  other  hand  holds  her ,  in  case  she  falls ,  afraid  to  press  on  bruised  skin.

build: scrawny  /  bony  /  slender  /  fit  /  athletic  /  muscular  /  curvy  /  herculean  /  pudgy  /  average height:  unknown,  but  described  as  tall  so  likely  around  6ft? scars / birthmarks:   no  scars,  but  likely  has  many  from  training  /  battles.   has  multiple  nephilim  runes  across  his  skin,  as  all  shadowhunters  do.   he  has  many  on  his  arms.  abilities / powers:  nephilim  physiology ,  runic  magic ,  archery  (  likely  his  chosen  weapon  ) ,  marksmanship  (  shown  to  have  excellent  aim  )  swordsmanship ,  enhanced  agility  and  speed,  throwing  creatures  into  canals  and  chasing  after  them  after  also  sending  them  through  a  window.    restrictions:   often  too  prideful  to  ask  for  help  or  rely  on  others.  seldom  expects  anyone  outside  of  his  family  to  care  for  him.  likely  has  a  fear  of  worms  now,  and  is  completely  useless at  poetry,  despite  wanting  to  write  it.

food:  this  is  all  a  guess,  but  i  know  he  and  cecy  went  to  town  on  that  roast  chicken  after  a  day  of  training  so  i’m  going  to  say  he  likes  roast  chicken . drink:   once  again  a  guess,  but  he  probably  grows  to  love  red  wine  pizza topping:  meat  feast  cause  he’s  a  tall  boi  who  needs  to  eat  a  lot ? color:  green  like  his  eyes musical genre:  modern  au  he’d  like  indie  bands.  back  then  idk?  classical  music ,  but  he’s  not  that  it book genre:  not  a  big  reader,  but  a  good  student  so  he’s  read  a  lot  about  shadowhunter  lore.  he  would  also  read  more  books  as  he  got  older,  and  he’d  like  fantasy  for  sure  so  he  can  laugh  at  what  mundanes  think  is  or  isn’t  real  movie genre:   action.  he’d  be  the  type  to  love  anything  with  action.  curse word:  he  doesn’t  have  a  preferred  word  but  he  prefers  all  of  his  curse  words to  be  directed  at  will.  he  also  asks  cecy  to  teach  him  welsh  swear  words  to  use,  and  he  loves  it  even  if  he  mispronounces  them scents:  steel  /  iron  melting ,  leaves  and  grass  from  the  gardens  in  chiswick  manor ,  smoke  from  exotic  cheroots  which  he  shares  with  his  daughter ,  spanish  food  and  periwinkle  flowers
