The song of stars that we all know in our hearts. This is the #1 GgW fanpage so expect a lot of fan content from myself, as well as me reblogging any other fan content I see.
Welcome to the #1 fan blog for the ever popular Gloopgolp World! Here you can expect to se fan creations of all kinds from both myself and other's on the platform! I will also be attempting to archive the Recaller's Log.
(Out of character disclaimer: pretty much every post on here, except for posts tagged "out of character" do a bit where I pretend that Gloopgolp world is a preexisting and massively popular piece of media. In reality it is invented by me. If you want to avoid unreality stuff I would avoid this blog. Out of character disclaimer over.)
You can learn more about the characters here!
And can start reading the Recaller's Log at page one or at any page you want by searching the tag on this blog!

Btw I haven't forgotten about GgW. I actually have big plans for how I actually want to actually make GgW a thing, which does mean the Recaller's Log is being abandoned and is no longer the canon story. But this new idea is one that I think I actually have both the ability and motivation to fully realize...
but just not yet. I have like 3 different projects atm and I'm procrastinating on ALL of them. So I'll get back to this eventually.
Ok so I've kept the cards close to my chest with this since I eventually want to do more with GgW, and in said more I'd want this to be revealed through the story, but this project is super on the back burner so I'm gonna share this now both because I think it's very cool and want people to know about it, but also so that I don't forget the details.
Let's talk about the cosmology of Gloopgolp World.
There are 2 deity figures in the universe of Gloopgolp World. Well at least 2 real ones, there are of course many many deities invented by cultures across the multiverse, but those are made up.
The first is e82. e82 is this immeasurably big robot that exists in its own pocket dimension. e82 is sort of the "backend" of the universe, with every single thing being represented by a part of it's machinery, and its sole goal is to keep everything running as it's supposed to for exactly as long as it's supposed to.
The only way to access e82 is through a superposition. Every single superposition is portal to e82. The problem is that the whole thing with superpositions is that they exist in multiple states UNTIL you observe them, and interacting with them observes them and thus collapses them into a single state. So to get to e82 you have to create a stabilized superposition; one that remains as being in two states while you interact with it. These are incredibly hard to make. Only one person has ever done it, and she kinda discovered how to do it through luck.
e82 in a sense IS the universe and everything within it. However when it comes to what actually happens within said universe it's kinda indifferent. It has a philosophy of everything happening as it will, and thus it will not interfere no matter how dire things get. Technically traveling to e82 will get you a sort of boon (this is how Schmymoon and Zlonk got their powers) but this is more a product of one's cosmic data being corrupted by going into e82's domain.
Oh also e82 is the source of all robots. Eon watches exist because e82 needs a connection between its dimension and the rest of the universe to run things, and some of e82's power sometimes leaks through that connection. This is why robots are able to do magic btw, or at least they could before Loxxa hunted them all down and ate their eon watches, which gave him knowledge of e82, who he now worships.
So since e82 is everything that exists, and its domain is every that exists, why are there 2 deities? Well now we have to talk about ℵᵢ (pronounced al-ef-eye. If you want to type it I recommend just copy/pasting).
ℵᵢ's domain is everything that doesn't exist. Impossibilities, timelines that could have happened but didn't, imagination, all of these are just as much part of ℵᵢ as things that exist are part of e82. e82 is the "is", ℵᵢ is the "isn't".
Similarly to its counterpart, ℵᵢ resides in a pocket dimension. Its is a small beach island under a moonless night sky, surrounded by endless, bottomless ocean. This ocean is ℵᵢ in that it represents and contains all possibilities except for the one that's real. However ℵᵢ also has a more personable avatar that it uses to commune with anything that arrives in its dimension. This form is a dark silhouette that takes the shape of whoever is receiving it, but said shape can be a bit hard to make out as you can only see it by observing the negative space between the stars behind it.
To reach ℵᵢ's dimension it also involves a modified version of a superstate, except for this one you need an inverted superstate, which is something that is simultaneously in -1 or less states at once. Needless to say these are even harder to make.
If you make it though you will find ℵᵢ is significantly more sociable. It cares for the well being of the universe and those within it, but also plays favorites to anyone that manages to make it to it. If you ask for a favor of something from ℵᵢ's ocean, it is likely to give it to you, although you can't leave with what you get.
ℵᵢ is both infinitely stronger and infinitely weaker than e82. Stronger in the way that for every one of the infinite things e82 has dominion over, ℵᵢ has infinite variation on it. But weaker in the way of none of it is real, so- you know.
So those are the two deities; the god of reality and the god of unreality. One last thing I wanna mention; e82's name comes from the estimated amount of atoms in the universe, and ℵᵢ comes from the fact that ℵ₀ is a mathematical way of saying infinity, with any subscript over 0 signifying "larger" infinities (for more info see the vsause video), and i is the imaginary number, so the name literally means "imaginary infinity".
New lore drop. So Malaxars are a parasitic species. As incredibly small larvae they make their way to attach to the brainstem of the host. From that point forward the Malaxar takes over the consciousness of the host, and cannot be removed without killing them both (notably though some see being taken over by a Malaxar as being death already, even if the body remains alive).
It's important to know though that Malaxars are just as sentient as anyone else. And they also aren't evil (at least not inherently. they have just as much potential to become evil as anyone else), their parasitic nature is just a part of their life cycle, as if they do not have a host within a week of their birth they will die.
This makes it an incredibly fierce debate within the setting of GgW on if the very existence of Malaxars is unethical. Their nature also leads to guilt being a defining part of the Malaxar cultural identity, some of them even practicing a form of self-targeting-eugenics, where they will refuse to reproduce because of the ethical burden it imposes. Several Malaxar communities have completely died off from this practice. There are however defenders of Malaxars, both from members of the species itself and sympathizers, that state that they have a right to exist despite the sacrifices that entails.
Even with some sympathizers, most Malaxars live on the outskirts of society, in communities of just Malaxars, due to both the previously mentioned guilt as well as high levels of discrimination.

Sorry for delays in archiving the reacaller's log, my time has been occupied by other projects. To tide you fans over and make it clear this blog isn't dead, here's a quick map of the titular Gloopgolp World
I decided I wanted to make a less abstract, more tryhard map soo; here it is, as well as some lore! (I'm still very much an amateur artist, especially with digital art, so be nice)
So the main planet that is the setting of GgW (which actually isn't called Gloopgolp. that was a mere jape) is very unique for it's ABSOLUTELY BONKERS rotational speed. This has several effects, most notably is that the planet itself was warped by it's own rotational force into this top-like shape.
Both of the poles are massive mountains and the equator has such extreme winds that everything is reduced to sand and going too far into the desert is fatal from how fast the wind is. Needless to say nothing lives there (nothing lives in the polar mountains either but that's for a weirder reason). There is also no communication between the two sides of the planet because of this.
Additionally the high rotational force has resulted in there being no oceans. Instead all water pools into massive rivers, that all flow clockwise (well the south one goes counterclockwise if you look at it from the south but you get the idea). The north side has 3 rivers but the south side only has 1.
On the north side is where all the main characters are from (except Amrej, they are from space). It uses the rivers for travel and has a system of roads (not shown due to being too small for this scale) that connect major cities, pretty much all of which are on rivers because of the benefit they provide. (this is what the abstract map in the first post is; a depiction of the rivers and major roads).
Random late night lore drop: ProtagoBilly is the closest to humanoid-shaped out of the main cast (he's also tied for most clothes worn). However there is a single secondary character who happens to look exactly like a human. He is not a human, and humans do not exist in any way in the setting of GgW. He just happens to look like that. His name is Loxxa Flins.
Did some sketches of the GgW cast. I wanna do more refined drawings of them at some point but for these I wanted to get across the actual shapes and makeups of these characters better than the little ms paint doodles. (sorry but no Amrej. She's too hard to draw.)
Miloc is definitely the most sketchy, but I think it gets the idea across. Plus this time I included his little backpack.
Really proud of this Schmymoon. she's a simple design but I think she looks cool.
Zlonk I had to really update the design of. I like my original art but he can Not Just be having nubs. So now he's hot hands with stubby but functional fingers, an actual torso (note that it is proportionally shorter than a human's) and little pads on the bottoms of his legs (the middle two are slightly behind the outside ones). Also to address the allegations; that is a shirt and not just his fur (I realize now that I forgot to draw the neckline but that means nothing). He wears it cause it matches the fur patches under his eyes and mouth.
¤ is mostly the same but now they have little ball joints to show how they move their thrusters around. Also they have a hatch in the back that has access to their soul.
And in commitment to the bit I drew a full sketch of ProtagoBilly and then scribbled and smudged him out. If you can still gleam details good for you.

also while i have you here can i ask about zlonks arm. in your drawing the left arm is a little nubbin and im wondering what that indicates. was it removed? was zlonk born like that? is he just holding his hand behind his back
But Zlonk's arm was lost* in an encounter with a concentrated superposition. After that everything more than a few inches below the shoulder is gone*. It's the same situation as Schmymoon.
*I say lost and gone but technically it's still there, just infinitly stretched thin to where it's basically gone in every way that matters.
Miloc rummages through Yimba’s trunk for a folder full of thin, plastic-like squares. These are of course calicodes. Which in case you forgot how those work, I’ll give a quick explanation cause you’ll probably be pretty lost for the next while if you don’t know. Calicodes are basically a way of compressing data by printing it onto sheets of ambrite (a pretty common material in this world). It’s an incredibly efficient form of compression, to the point where physical objects can be compressed into calicodes. However, the more complex the data or object, the more detail needs to be on the sheet, and printers can only make details so fine, so there’s a limit to what you can compress.
Miloc held one of the calicodes up to ¤, who looked at it for a moment before something began materializing in front of the sheet. Within a few moments the sheet was blank and a screwdriver fell to the ground.
“Ok. Not the best but I got a whole stack of these things.”
They repeated the process with another calicode. nothing fell to the ground once it was done.
“That one was a guide vegetation of allow swamps.” said ¤
”Ok so that one is also pointless.“
They continue with several more calicodes, most containing entirely mundane items or information. However, eventually one of them produced an item that looked like a metalic backpack.
”Is that what I think it is?“ Said Miloc the moment it fell to the ground, voice full of astonishment.
”It is a blastpac, a weapon designed for-“
”I know what a blasterpac is! I've wanted one of these since I got outta the pod! They're like the best personal weapon to use when you got paws!“ Miloc quickly slipped the bag around his torso.
Miloc went on ”This on it's own has made all my scavenging worth it. Especially since we can set our sights even higher now. ¤, the stealing is back on! hop in the back of Yimba, we got a ways to travel!
The business owner piped up ”Do you want to not steal?“
”No.“
”You're welcome“ Said the non-rodent to the kinda-rodent.
”Come on robot. You're comin a-stealing with me.“
”Ok. But my name is ¤.”
“Alright well mine's Miloc. Now get your gears in gear, stuff ain't getting any more stole without us.”
The robot used its thrusters to get off of the counter it was on. And by the way I know what you're thinking “Mr Recaller? Won't the fire from the thrusters burn anything ¤ hovers over?” Well you can shut up about that cause while it might look like normal fire it is not fire. It's a force of pure levitation that ¤'s core can generate that allows for precise and easy movement without giving off any heat. It's called ”notfire.” So next time think a little before thinking such a dumb question.
Point is ¤ followed Miloc back to Yimba.
“Alright. So I got these goons. They and I are not on good terms. But they got lots of good stuff. Powerful stuff. So we’re gonna go in and you’re gonna start blastin ‘em!” Miloc started at ¤.
“I do not have blasters.”
“Ok well you’ll use whatever kind of weapons you do have, and while you do-”
“I do not have weapons.”
“Well then what do you even do?”
“I told you already. I think.”
“Wait, you mean that’s it? Like that’s IT it?”
“Yes.”
Miloc scrunches his face. “Ok so what I’m hearing is that I’ve made a terrible investment.”
“I have other functions that may be of assistance; I can process large datasets, form complex strategies, decode calicodes, solve-”
Miloc perks up. “Why didn’t you lead with the calicode thing? That’s actually useful!”
“Most robots can do it. I ordered my relevant skills in order of how much I believe I am above the average.”
“I was being rhetorical, plus robots ain’t too common round here. Point is, I’ve collected a whole folder of calicodes that I haven’t found a way to decode. I have no idea what they are but they have to be something useful.”
Welcome. I am The Recaller, for it is my nature to recall the details and events. However for now it is also my nature to describe. The events I describe to you are of course ones that you already know, for it is your nature to know them. However the story must be told again. I'm sure you can guess why.
Miloc rummaged through the scrap. He found a robot. The robot was dead. It could still be of use so he threw it in his cart. His cart, Yimba, was of decent speed, fitted with a comfy enough seat atop the lowest point in the bend of the neck. The mammal atop steed fell into a routine of riding between points to gluttonously grab garbage.
He arrived, full cart in tow, back in Hawltoe. In case you forgot, civilization here was quite different from what you may be accustomed to. You are unfortunate enough to live in a world where one species sprinted past all the others on the way to the peak of society, before rudely kicking everyone else down the metaphorical stairs, leading to your rather monoculturistic world. Gloopgolp World on the other hand had no such problems. Species and such progressed at largely the same rate, so plant, animal, fungus, and a multitude of other boo boberies are knee deep in intelect and social structure.
While I explained all that boring crap Miloc found a scrapmonger. They've played this dance many times and have it down to a rocket science. Miloc shakes garbage and gives an inquisitive grunt. If it's truly nothing of use the junker blinks disapprovingly. If they can offer money they give an approving grunt. And if Miloc will want a piece of whatever they can do with it... well that territory was a little less chartered so this time they settle on just saying “That's somethin.”
Miloc handed over the small robot. The recyclist wrapped a limb around the bot and shook it a bit before giving it a listen. Eon clock dead. A few more shakes of the metallic corpse were given as a way to help the scrapper think of what to do. They could probably figure something out with an ungun but they didn't have that kinda money.
They settled on handing it back to Miloc. “Needs a jump-start. I got the tool for it but I need some material.”
Miloc gave a nod and a “Go for it.”
The ungarbager grabbed their flaust from the back and used it to grab a little bit of Miloc's soul and inserted it into the robot. The light on its front exposed past its broken faceplate blinked to life.
“Life. Again” was all it said. Miloc, wanting to see what kinda loot he had stumbled into, asked what the bot did. “Think.” was it's reply.
“I mean like what's your function? What were you made to do?”

In honor of this ask that I've been delaying for too long, here's my interpretation of playing the erph in Gloopgolp World
I have named this character (OC ???) The Great Great Greatest Wizard (he sucks) and since I took way too much time coming with a character for this shitty idea, here's some doodles of him
Yes, he likes knitting but sucks at it. Just like everything he does.
The original idea behing Gloopgolp World is by @who-do-i-know-this-man
