Toji walked through the door expecting to see you on the couch wrapped up in a blanket with a snack watching one of your favorite shows or studying for your classes. instead he finds a dark and quiet living room.
he took his shoes off, dropping his bag onto the couch and walked towards your shared bedroom. maybe you were in the shower or sleeping he thought.
he opened the door his eyes immediately finding the bed. you were sitting against the headboard with your arms wrapped around your knees with your head down. you didn’t even look up when he walked in.
normally you would be in his arms peppering him with kisses, your sweet voice calling him ji, excited to see him. yet you were still sitting there with your head down. he didn’t like that one bit.
“baby?” he calls out softly. he notices the way you curl into yourself more, like you were trying to make yourself smaller.
he walked to the side of the bed you were on, sitting down in front of you.

you finally lifted your head up laying your head to the side instead of looking at toji. “just a long day.” you whisperd.

you turned your head towards him, somehow making your eyes sting more as you looked at him. "sorry." he shook his head, picking you up to bring you into his arms. "none of that. what's bothering my baby."
you started with how stressful school was getting, many deadlines coming up and exams. then you’re parents keep bothering you about things and how your never around. Toji listened carefully as you talked. he wasn’t the best at comforting or big on affection, yet you slowly made the easy for him the longer the two of you were together.
“I just didn’t want to bother you about it because you’re working all day and I’m just here.” you finished.
toji grabbed your face with both of his hands, looking at you with those beautiful green eyes.
“your problems aren’t smaller than mines just because I’m working all day. your trying to get your education. I’m proud of you for that. so don’t make yourself smaller because you think my issues are bigger than yours.”
he kissed your forehead before he continued.
“and your parents are being shit heads. i don’t understand why they always have something negative to say about you sweetheart, your trying your best. so if you don’t want to be around them, then it’s okay.”
you couldn’t help the tears that fell down. he was becoming so understanding and loving, you were getting even more emotional. despite you being sad you couldn’t help but let out a watery laugh from him calling your parents shit heads.
“fuck your crying and laughing at the same time for?” he frowned. “you calling my parents a shit head.” you smiled.
“your are alsovery sweet.” you pouted as your body slumped from the tension you had.
“your so confusing. but there’s my girl.” he wiped your tears with his thumbs. even though he looked confused, he couldn’t fight the grin on his face.
you wrapped your arms around his neck as you sniffled. “thank you. it seems so stupid now though.” his hands found your hips steadying you into his lap. “it’s not stupid love. your just burnt out and tired, I get it.”
you hugged your big loving boyfriend out of appreciation for not making you feel so guilty like your parents always did.
“I’ll order your favorite wings and get you some chocolate. oh we can watch your favorite movie together.”
you pulled back with a grin on your face. “wait really?! your actually going to watch it?”
“yes baby i will watch your silly romance movies.” he chuckled.
you started kissing his cheeks, nose, jaw, than finally kissing his lips in a loving way. “I love youuu” you sung. he patted your ass kissing you again. “love you to doll.”
