IM SO SO SO GLAD TJAT EMILY WAS ABLE TO SAVE BRIAN BECAUE I KNOW SHE WOULD HAVE BLAMED HERSELF AND THAT WOULDVE STUCK WITH HER FOREVER THE SAME WAY IT DID WHEN BAILEY DIED AND NOW INSTEAD SHE IS ABLE TO CREDIT HERSELF FOR SAVING HIM ANDIM JUST SO SO PROUD OF HER. HER SUPERPOWER IS HER KINDNESS AND EMPATHY AND SOFT GENTLE NATURE AND SHE USED RHAT IN SUCH A BEAUTIFL WAY THIS EPISODE AND I GENUINELY WAS LIKE CRYING AT HOW CUYE IT WAS THAT SHE WAS SINGING WHILE DOING CPR AND THEN I WAS SO WORRIED FOR HER AND I HATED SEEING HER CRY BUT OH MY GOD I AM SO SO RELIEVED SHE WASABLE TO SAVE HIM. AND PENELOPE CHIMING IN WITH THE CPR SINGING TO ENCOURAGE HER GENUINELY BROKE ME THOSE GIRLS ARE SO SPECIAL TO ME THEIR DYNAMIC IS SO SPECIAL AND I NEED TO FET INTO THAT SEPARATELY WHEN IM MORE CALM.

THIS IS A MESS ILL REALLY TRY TO BE BETYER W THIS LATER BUT I JUST WANTED TO SAY I REALLY FUCKING ADORE EMILY PRENTISS MORE THAN ANY OTHER CHARACTER ON THIS PLANET AND IM SO PROUD OF HER FOR KEEPING THAT EMPATHY AND GENTLENESS IN HER HEART AND ALWAYS USING THAT WITH HER STRENGTH AND WIT TO GET THROUGH THINGS DHE IS SO BRAVE AND SPECIAL AND STRONG AND I LOVE HER FOREVER.

oh boy. okay i am honestly really annoyed and frustrated at this point. i feel like this show is repeatedly doing a disservice to emily in terms of literally even just including her in things this season and this episode made it GLARINGLY obvious. i am an evolution defender through and through and i really do not think this is true for its entirety!! but there is such massive disrespect for her as a character this season and i am really upset about it tbh. she was barely in this episode, and it seems like they really just didn't know what to do with her while the unsub plotline was unfolding and they decided to have her and tara recap information we already knew at the end? emily is, in my opinion, the most important character on this show. she is the heart!! i just find it crazy that there was genuinely a 20+ minute period where she was not seen. at all. i know that some episodes aren't as balanced as others but i really found this to be egregious. we also spent most of this episode on the unsub which i found incredibly unnecessary. i don't think she's mischaracterized or anything i just think she's really being forgotten and it sucks. i'm just frustrated and upset right now and i spent most of the episode pretty irritated. to avoid turning this entire post into an ineloquent rant, i'll mention what i did enjoy about the episode, and sorry, but it's gonna be mostly emily focused since we have to do everything for her!

first off, i did really enjoy the fact that they seemed to remember that emily loves and cares for these people and included her in the celebration!! it did really make me happy to see her smile and enjoy herself for once and be included in scenes with cute group moments. i did squeal. she's very cute. i will commend this season on letting her smile more because we're on a good streak for that. she's adorable and sweet and silly and i love her so dearly and i do love that we've gotten little moments that highlight those lovable things about her. she was so incredibly sweet in her conversation with jj and she always reminds us what a lovely empathetic angel she is when her people need her and when the writers decide she's allowed to be needed :') also GODDDD she is so TOUCHY it makes me crazy i am so obsessed with her ugh. also i found it so funny that she HAD to serve face in that group picture i adore her so bad. and oh my god that scene with her and tara and rebecca I WAS ACTUALLY BEING A LITTLE INSANE I WANT THEM ALL SO. BAD BUT ESPECIALLY EMILY. which brings me to the fact that! yay!!! we got rebecca back!!! her look w the red shirt was so adorable i will be screenshotting! GARVEZ INTERACTION!! hey it wasn't much but he smiled and she touched him so i will take it. they keep me humble!
