The Forest cares for no one

my fave thing about howell ‘howl’ jenkins (of moving castle fame) in the book is how he’s just a phd student. sure he built a portal to another world, regularly chats to the fireplace and won’t stop dyeing his hair but that’s what phd students are like.

life on tumblr has always been just living in the moment for me, but sometimes i stop and realize that some of us have been part of each other’s lives for. years. a lot of years. seeing each other grow and change, being there for the ups and downs, is comforting. knowing there’s a place, this place, where i can find all of you… it’s nice. i’m very glad i met you, and hope to keep meeting all the other you’s to come

i have no idea how people could find ancient history boring. mark antony was once so hungover he puked at a meeting he was supposed to attend and then cicero made fun of him for it. diogenes the cynic used to masturbate in public and shit-talk even the people who liked him. plato once argued about whether or not patroclus or achilles topped in their relationship. these people are such idiots how could you ever be bored by them

what are these “shower thoughts” everybody’s talking about, i dont think about anything in the shower, my mind is completely blank as i douse my body in scalding hot water and stare at a wall
