Once she turned 3 Kayla began spending her summers in Japan with her Father; though in all honesty, she spent more of that time with her brother and later on his Fiance than she did her Father himself. Because of this she knew both the Kiryuu’s, even though she was a few years older than them. She also met Yuuki and Kaien a couple of times, her brother having brought her to the school with him to talk to the Headmaster.

“How about I buy you dinner and a new outfit and we call it even? I’m subjecting my daughter to an afternoon with Kaien so I could use some company that does more than babble.”
