I love how beautifully the final scene with Ned was setup throughout the movie. From instagram videos to someone out there who’s watching them to conspiracy boards and Lego figures and spidey tracker. He’s profoundly missing something and is so clearly Peter. MJ’s comment about how they really do look like two best friends is also fascinating because that means somewhere deep down a part of Ned had already recognized him. I don’t even care how he remembers, (magic, jean grey’s whole thing with the radius, or simple platonic love that transcends doctor strange’s spell) I care that it’s all there. I care that if MJ had remembered, it would have been anticlimactic narration-wise; Ned’s memory, on the other hand, seems plausible given the circumstances.

genuinely the most comic book spider-man movie of all time, they even recreated the punisher spider-man cover of civil war, he feels like he jumped straight out of the pages. some people might be bugged by seeing other marvel characters in a spider-man movie but he is almost never alone in the comics, there is always a team up or a small panel of at least one character. this feels like a love letter to comics new york, a city that's so full it's impossible to not run into your coworkers.
