So let me respond to the straw man. I'm angry at the justification of thievery, because I believe once we make justification for crimes, it's easier to slide the scale just a little bit more until there's nothing left. I'm less angry that rich people aren't solving problems that they are in no way shape or form obligated to. Do I wish they would? Sure, that'd be nice. However, I don't blame anyone for a lack of action where there's no inclination or obligation for action. If I'm being attacked and you don't help me, I wouldn't be mad. But if an officer did the same, I'd be outraged. Not your job, don't have to do it. Nice if you would, but still don't. Not that complicated. Except it isn't a crime. 😐 What's the charge? The point is, there are preparations that should be made before having a child. And if a mistake happens, there are options one can take if they aren't capable of taking up such a task. It's a tough choice, but I'd rather have a kid live well without me than suffer in poverty with me. 🙄

If I own a shop, and you are a parent (god forbid you procreate,) your job is to care about your kid. That's your whichever unfortunate individual who bred with you's job. My job is to maintain my business to make sure not just I have food on the table, but all of my employees. My job is to stop shoplifting, your job is to feed your kid, or pass them off to someone who can. The issue is in that situation, you don't love your kid, you're just possessive of them. You'd rather have them suffer with you than possibly prosper without. 🤷🏿‍♂️ Sorry, I don't see the high horse you seem to think you're on.

Thank you for the clarification!! I had only seen the first tweet and it absolutely broke my heart as a trans person that was obsessed with his novels growing up.

I have to ask; why should I pick compassion over logic? How can I pick the side of compassion, when the pro-trans community seems to lack compassion where it counts? It's easy to be compassionate towards those you agree with. But to simply dismiss discourse by claiming ignorance or bigotry instead of engaging points, seems just barbaric to me. Transphobic seems to simply mean "to disagree with the trans community," and I can't support a group that supports that. I don't hate trans people, but I simply can't agree with them on a fundamental level.
