You're telling me that not only did he *watch* his crew die, one by one, but that he recorded their last breaths? That for 50 years, he's kept a haunting memory of their voices as they fade one by one? How he then picked up and organized their bones, sometimes recognizing their individual owners?

That the song he sang alone for 50 years in those accursed seas, the song his long dead captain loved and asked for every chance he could, was also what called attention to him as the strawhats passed by his ship - thus saving him from dying alone, again?
