in the link above i have my final editorial after some changes, as i had some time and thought that the next think i wanted to do was correct my editorial so it was at the best of its standards. i have added quotes and lines i think this gives the editorial a finished look and helps it flow throughout.

I have looked at lines and found a way of blending the lines and making it flow in and out of images. i think my doing this it makes the editorial flow alot better. i have also changed the text making it smaller and more interesting be adding columns and adding quotes i think have worked as they are bold and show importance but they don't dominate the page too much as i have chosen a lighter tone.
I have merged both of my projects together, branding and narrative to make one final outcome. by doing this i'm showing that the logo will work on a cd and i feel like both of my projects are final and look to the best of its standards.

Here is the link to my final issue editorial. I have used the theme of triangles and lines as i feel it shows direction like an arrow and on some pages i have used other shapes like circles to keep a balance and not make the work to repetitive. i think the colour theme i have chosen works well as it contrasts against the blue and grey buildings. although i think that i may have to add some more lines as i think i have not used the lines as much as i anticipated. i have been able to think about the position of my text and balanced my work out so one did not dominate the other as the information is as important as the image. The composition has improved as i have been working on the projects showing that i am able to learn from my mistakes and i can see what works and what doesn't work.
To improve i may add quotes and more lines and consider editing the photos further with a tint so all images flow.
i have made one of the pages by using practical skills as i wanted to add a range of skills to my editorial, i have used ink and water to create a faded obscure pattern then i have scanned them in. i did not like the colours or the marks created from a far, so i have edited the image on photoshop bt changing the color of the ink to purple one of the colors from my theme and then i have zoomed in to create a more obscure pattern and i thought it worked really well. First i wanted to use it as a background and i thought it would make the page stand out like too much and it will not link in tot he rest of the editorial therefore i thought i could use it to fill in a image therefore it can keep the subtlety of the marks but make it more interesting. so my editing the image on Photoshop i was able to select part of the information and use it like a stencil to delete the negative space leaving me with the image above i think this will work well as a back ground with plain text.
the image is still readable as i have been able to keep the shape of the building and of some people and the columns therefore it is easy to look at and will not distract the viewer.

I like how the images flow from one page to another and how the editorial uses a lot of the space. They have used a range of techniques from bleeding the images off the page and rhythm of images. I think the use of black and white works well as it shows that it's a clean pure editorial. I will consider using a range of image sizes but I don't think I'll use black and white as I think is not what I want to use
Here are some designs I have created for my business card. I have chosen to Create a a business card with a flap in stead of the traditional card this will make my business more original I have also experimented with colours it I think I will stick to Grey white and red as the grey is not to bold unlike the black and it wouldn't dominate the logo

I have used this guitar to help me as i want to create a logo using a musical instrument i feel that the guitar can be used a a guide and i will be using its shape as a line for a wave. my inspiration for this idea was from the coke brand as they do a similar thing with the shape of the bottles.
I have created a variety of ideas on illustrator. I have experimented with the typography and I have experimented with lines I think some worked more than others but I think the plain sound wave logo with lines next to it work well and the lines can be a symbol of the company and I can use it in different ways after choosing what logo I will use I have experimented with colours to see what will work well and I have chosen red as I think this symbolise power and strength, it's a generic colour

after looking at some images and initial ideas from my mind map i have created some sketches and plans of the logos i am thinking of doing i have created a range as some have been developed into better more thought about sketches. my next step will be to do these on to illustrator and working out what type to use and what colours work well with what designs
