I read Thirteen Reasons Why in less than a day.

When I started it, I was thinking of my cousin, who took her life almost two years ago.

When I got to the middle, I was thinking of myself, from over ten years ago.

When I got to the end, I was thinking of every single soul that has felt so alone, so hopeless, so lost, so tired, so broken, so dark, so down, so done, that death was the only peace they could imagine.

That book hurt my heart and my soul, but it lifted them, too.
